Hi All
Just finished rads. 25 regular and 5 boosts. Skin is raw, peeling etc, but the my girls rad cream, miaderm and silverdine cream are really working.

I'm sorry you feel so terrible, Greyt2mphrn. :-( I haven't met with the radiologist yet, but am hoping to do hypofractionated radiation therapy. What does the RO say about the digestive distress? I would think s/he would be concerned about you becoming dehydrated, not to mention it makes no sense that strides have been taken to help with chemo digestive issues while nothing is offered to help you.
One thought...could you have gastroenteritis? I developed it after having my wisdom teeth extracted and lost 9 pounds in a week until my internist prescribed medication. I hope you don't downplay the problem in talking to the radiology staff. If you don't get cooperation from there, I would check with your primary care doctor. Keep us posted!

I met with my radiation oncologist today. She is very nice but the whole radiation thing freaks me out. I see so many people getting the "standard" 6 weeks of treatment, it is hard to believe that 19 sessions equals 33 sessions. American medicine is slow to change she says- I just wonder how many of her patients are getting the 33 sessions? I just don't want to look back and say I should have- I am very sensitive to heat and burns so I have started out with this regime to keep from getting burnt. I have only had 3 sessions and was wildly nauseated this afternoon. I had a phone interview and threw up before and after the interview. Luckily, nothing much was in my stomach. I have always had a sensitive stomach. I don't feel much like eating- nothing makes me "want" to eat it. I started out this cancer journey at 230lbs 5'8" tall. Now I am 115. My MO said he thinks I was dehydrated last week. I've tried to drink water (and keep it down) so I don't get dehydrated. I haven't had any real food (soda pop doesn't count, right?) since 3 Sundays since this Sunday. Just tired and a little irritable. My boob feels a little sore but she said it looks good. I'm going back on my Zofran. Probably just nerves.

I hope the Zofran helps.
