First LE appointment

good morning. I'm going to see a lymphedema specialist as a precaution and baseline evaluation after BMX and SNB on both sides. Do you think you'll be uncomfortable after this appointment? I've had a little swelling in my upper arm but I'm only 5 weeks post op. I want to take a road trip with my husband this weekend and my appointment on Friday morning makes me wonder if I should postpone until after our trip? Or maybe I'd feel even better after my first appointment and a manual massage/ drain?

Any advice is appreciated.

I have not experienced any discomfort with my visits. And it would probably be good to get advice on dealing with a road trip with the LE also. Some experience swelling on long car trips, so it would be worth mentioning to the therapist.

It is not uncomfortable at all. The lymphatics are very superficial, so the massage is very light.

You may not receive massage therapy may just measure and go over a few things you need to know. After massage therapy I have to pee a few times in a couple of hours,
