To all of you kind ladies , hope palliative treatment has ended and she was put on hospice. Today she is meeting with them. The pressure on her head started and she is sleeping a lot. Also she is using a wheelchair when the pain gets very bad. All your prayers and good wishes are welcome at this point. My heartbis aching.
-
Woody, I am sorry to hear that the disease has progressed and tha Hope was put on hospice. Thank you for letting us know. Hope will be in my thoughts and prayers. I will pray for comfort, peace, and relief from pain for her. I will also pray for strength and comfort for her family and friends.

My heart is aching too, Woody, to hear this. It's so difficult to think of Hope on hospice and I certainly will pray that she gets relief from that pain and is comfortable. Thank you for letting us know.
-
Woody thanks for the update. It's heartbreaking to learn Hope is in hospice. I hope and pray she will be comfortable surrounded by the love of her family.
And prayers for you Woody as you face so many challenges. Love and hugs to both of you.
-
it is heartbreaking, but thank you for keeping us informed. May Hope find peace and be pain free
-
That is so sad to hear. I pray for her to be pain free and hope she feels how much she is loved. Prayers for her family and friends.
-
Wishing Hope pain free days surrounded by love.
I'm sad for Hope and her family, and I'm sad for all of us. I fear this is the path we are all destined to follow. The best we can do is pray for more days and with less pain
😥

thank you all for your support , prayers and love you are showing Hope and me. She is at peace with the decision she made few months back to stop treatments and i will believe she will go when she is ready. Today she seemed better and was able to walk, she met the hospice people and she seems to like them. Hopefully they will keep her pain under control.
Peace with you and plenty of love to all of you. Your care is much appreciated . Healing lights to all of you wonderful ladies.
-
Sending Hope all of my thoughts and warmth. And to you Woody, your family is certainly having a truly rough time, and my thoughts are with you as well.

I'm heartbroken to hear that things have changed so quickly for Hope, and I'm sorry that you, Woody, are dealing with so much right now. I hope your brother-in-law's tx works well for him.
Tell Hope she is uppermost in my prayers. I have only heard wonderful things about Hospice, and I pray they will keep her comfortable. Oh, and could you PM me her address? I'd like to send her a card. Thanks.
-
I too am heartbroken to read about Hope. She was one of the first here to reach out to me. I have heard that hospice is wonderful, but all the same I'd rather it did not have to be. Please give her my best. dee (and thank you Woody for keeping us in the loop)
-
Woody - Very sad to read news about lovely Hope. She started our Ibrance thread and was so helpful - sorry the protocal didn't work longer for her. But I respect her decision to spend time with family and be off many of the meds that hurt her. Please share our collective gentle hugs and warm wishes to be painfree in hospice. (())

my heart sank to read that hope is in hospice. I like living my life with my head in the sand. Selfish and easier for me.
I wish hope so much love! I know she loves her family more than anything. Her and I have the same feelings re: our dh's. I wish her peace and pain free days ahead.
Woody, you are so kind to keep us updated all along and especially now with all you have on your plate. I can only say I'm sorry for what your family is going through. I hope you also feel the love from around the world for you as well
-
Feeling very sad to read this. I pray for peace and comfort for her in hospice. I respect that she is doing things her way. That is how it should be.
I like to think we will all be around these boards forever, even though I know the reality. Everyone is so vital in their posts, it is hard to comprehend so many of us are near the end. Hope's posts were the first I read when I started these boards and she was really the face of the BCO mets forum to me and I believe to many others.
-
I just have to echo what JFL says above, the Ibrance forum is the first one I read when I started on the forums and thanks to Hope I have learned so much. She has truly been a blessing to so many people and has left a wonderful legacy. I pray that she has pain free and peaceful days and is surrounded by love.

((((((Woody))))) for keeping us updated on Hope even though you are having such a sad time with your family.
I first met Hope on the AA thread and she kept me going through a very tough time - then we both went on to Faslodex which has worked for me but not, alas, for Hope but she soldiered on and started the Ibrance thread which is a font of information for so many - she has been a comfort to so many of us and now we can only hope to be some comfort to her. Sending love, S

I too am so very sad to read this. Hope was an Ibrance trailblazer! She gave us all courage to start this new drug. We all love you, Hope, and wish you peace and comfort now.
Thank you, (((Woody))) for keeping us updated as you deal with your own struggles. Wishing you and your family all the best...
Love to all...
Rose.

My first stage IV treatment was aromasin/ibrance and my onc ordered the ibrance the first week of its FDA approval. Hope stated the thread right as I started the drug. As I have changed treatments, I have found so many of her posts on other threads so valuable. She has been such a wonderful friend to so many of us. Her posts have always been so helpful and encouraging and honest and courageous. Hope, you and your family are in my daily thoughts and prayers.
Thank you, Woody, for the updates and my prayers go to you and your family.

A sad post indeed. Hope was also one of the first to help me, along with Woody. Thanks so much for keeping us updated Woody even though you are going through so much right now. KJones, I am the same, I like to live in the land of denial. I do wish for you Hope that hospice is good to you and you find the peace and comfort you deserve. Please remember that there are ladies here that have been on hospice for several years here too. It does not necessarily mean the end of the story. I am looking forward to hearing more about Hope living life.
-
I am so sad to hear this. I admire Hope's determination to try everything and be there for her loving family. She shows such compassion and love. I also got many helpful tips from her posts. This disease is the pits. Someone described BC as a thief and it steals us away. May Hope be comfortable and pain free in hospice. She will be in my prayers, as will you Woodylb. Thank you for the updates.
-
As a recent arrival, who started BCO on the Ibrance thread, I know hope Hope as one of the brave women who charted this unknown territory for the rest of us. Hope is in my thoughts.

Hope signed off bco about the time I signed on, so we never "spoke" together, but her posts intrigued me for a long time - she was so good at starting new topic threads when she started new treatments. What a trail blazer!
Woody, you are so kind and considerate for all of us. I can only imagine the heartbreaks you're experiencing with Hope, your family and yourself too.
Thank you for continuing as our communicator with Hope. Please let her know she is loved here.
And know that you are loved too! You are extraordinary and we're extraordinarily blessed that you are willing to fulfill this role.
warmest healing regards for all, Stephanie

Sending love and hugs to Hope and family. Woody - thank you for keeping us updated.

Rosevalley and Stephanie while you deal with your own illness you overwhelm everybody with your kidness , love and unselfishness. I hope you both are painfree send you both healing lights. You are both dear to me too. I love you dearly.
To all of you lovely ladies i send my warmest feelings of peace and healing.
I just wish i was not the bearer of such news, jowever i have lost some friends on this board without anyone noticing they were gone and it made me sad i was not able to find anyone who could tell me snything about them. This is why it is important to me to keep updating about Hope. She was the first to welcome me on this board and encourage meand so many others. She is such a wonderful lady , she is a friend andi pray everyday she willbe around for a little longer.
If anything happens and i am unable to get her she asked her husbsnd to post here. 😔😔
Loce and kidness to all.
-
Woody thanks for the info. It is heartbreaking but worse to not know. You are a good friend to all of us.
Prayers for you, Hope, her family and all of us. May we find peace.
-
Thank you Zill , you are right i hope we all find peace and comfort . Gentle hugs.
-
Thank you Woody for the updates on Hope. The Ibrance thread gave me so much encouragement as I began the MBC experience. Hope and all the ladies have been so generous with help and ideas for living well.
Sending prayers for both you and Hope during these difficult days.
-
Yes, as difficult and heartbreaking as it is, I still want to know if we have lost a dear one so as not to wonder....I, like you Woody, pray that Hope rallies and has more time with her family. Thank you for being such a great friend to all. Prayers, peace and healing for us all....
-
Hope was one of the first posters who stood out to me when I joined this site, in part because we live in the same town. I have gained such respect and admiration for her while following her journey. The sorrow I feel for Hope and her family is immeasurable. She has such love for her family. They are each going through their own hell. Hope has been such a fighter, putting so much time and effort into her research, and sharing her findings with all of us here. Her brave stick to it attitude could be read in every post. I keep her always in my prayers. I know this is so difficult for all of you who came to love and respect Hope.Blessings to all of you as you continue your own journeys.
Blessings to you too Woody and thank you for the updates. They are much appreciated.
-
Woody, thank you.
I am just another voice that adds to the chorus of love for Hope and her family.
Kathy
