I had 3 stereotactic biopsies on the 21st. When I took off the ace bandages today one of the steri stips came 1/2 way off. I just pulled it back up to close the wound and put a bandaid in top. I'm worried it won't heal correctly. Did anyone ever have this happen? I'm going to call the nurse in the am but I am a little anxious about it right now. Plus all 3 sites are bleeding a little. Just a drop every so often throughout the day

It should be fine, mine did the same thing, just keep the area dry as possible

I woke up to this 10 days post-biopsy. I know I need to call but don't know if I call the radiologist, the breast center or my gyn. Yesterday it looked like a the incision (puncture) opened up so I cleaned it with peroxide, put some antibiotic cream on it and covered it. Today it looks worse. I can't get an appt until Monday but I am worried about the way it looks. My 2 other sites look fine just a lot of bruising. Anyone ever have this happen and did everything turn out ok?

Is there one of those doctor clinics near you? You just walk in, they are good at stuff like this.

Just an update. I had an appt at the breast center this am. It appears that being a Type 1 diabetic and having Hashimoto's (both Autoimmune disorders) has messed my immune system up.

Two of my three biopsy sites are infected and the skin is dying. I'm on a boat load of antibiotics hoping to stop the infection and praying the skin stops dying off. It's not a very pretty infection. If anything ever comes up again I have to take antibiotics in advance to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I'm counting my blessings because both breast came back benign.
