Some joint pain and thinning hair but not too bad. Much better than a reoccurance. How about you? Love, Jean

I have had more joint pain on top of my arthritis while on Anastrozole. I have been going for acupuncture for a couple of months and it has really helped. She has given me some Chi energy exercises too. Lately have had a few clear discharges from my nipple in the lumpectomy breast. Makes me a bit anxious. Mamms coming in late July. Otherwise, life is good and wish all well.

Hi ladies just checking in. It's blazing hot here in Upstate New York today. I'm hoping I can get in a walk at the mall and maybe a short swim in the pool. Hope all's well. Love, Jean

Just checking in from SoCal. Had mastectomy with DIEP reconstruction just over 3 weeks ago. Doing well, feeling more like myself. Still needing more range of motion on the right side, but at least I have a nice soft breast once again!!
-
farmerma, you are definitely looking on the bright side and moving forward.
Glad to report that my tomosynthesis (3D mammogram) today showed no evidence of disease. Onward. Will participate in a 10 week study this fall about ways to restore vigor to survivors. One group has a Qigong approach with slow movement and meditation, the other a more standard exercise approach, both with nutrition education.
Best to all.

Just checking in to say Hi from Pensacola Florida. Weather is really hot and humid right now with our daily afternoon thunder showers. Had mammo in June all was good. Have had no real side effects from Anastrozole except the joint pain. Have been having horrible time with my back. Have had several series of injections, met with a neuro surgeon who suggested it might be the SI joint that is causing my particular pain so had a SI joint injection and that seems to be helping quite a bit. I decided to bite the bullet and do the Jenny Craig diet and have lost 27 pounds and 20 1/2 inches since April 28th. The cruise we have booked for Dec is keeping me motivated and access to a gym and personal trainer through my employee will help keep the pounds coming off.
Glad everyone here is doing well and pressing on. Talk to you soon.

Hello all,
Hope all is well with everyone. New situation here and need some input. Had R breast cancer Sept. 2014. . Had surgery and rads and all is ok. Went for 6 month 3D mammog this week. Doc there recommended a biopsy on the Left which had 3 previous biopsies and an aspiration - all negative for cancer. I thot " WHAT!!!! ??????" Can't go thru all that anxiety again!!!!! Now waiting for my Doc to write the orders for a biopsy. And to complicate matters more, we just moved from NJ to Florida for retirement so I don't know any surgeons here shud I need another lumpectomy.
Anyone out there have this problem??? Thanx in advance for any help.
-
Oh dear cwp, I have no advice but am praying for your peace as you wait for reaults. Please let us know how you are doing. Love, Jean
-
cwp, I am so sorry that you have to go through this anxiety. I'll be praying that your biopsy results are benign. I'll be going for my 2nd post treatment mammo in a few weeks. Unfortunately we're all destined to live with this fear for the rest of our lives
-
cwp, You have a difficult situation since you have moved and don't have a familiar medical team. As much as we all dread these test results, we can say the mantra - better to catch it early. And we hope for you that there is no evidence of cancer.
-
cwp, where in Florida?

Hello.,it's been awhile since I've posted on this thread but I'm hoping someone has experienced the problem I'm having. I developed a cold( my first since before bc) started normally with a runny nose and within 24hrs I had a dry cough. The unusual thing is the very first sign of the cough came with horrible rib and sternum pain. It hurts to cough, bend over, or stretch my left side. Today it even hurts to blow my nose. No fever just horrible fatigue and stuffy nose and cough. If I wasn't having the left side rib pain and sternum pain I'd chalk it up to a normal cold. Is this just scar tissue pain from roads? Costochondritis? Has anyone else experienced this? I plan on calling my primary in the morning if there's no improvement of the pain.
-
HI Beachbaby! If you're having unusual pain, I definitely think a visit to the doc is in order. I haven't had any unusual symptoms since rads, but my tumor was near my armpit, so perhaps my lungs were spares
-
Hope it is just your cold. I still have a very occasional zinger but nothing like you describe. Do check it out and let us know.
