Hi all. I'm 25 years old and I happened to notice a lump in my left breast 5 days ago. I was already scheduled for my annual at my obgyn's office on Wednesday. I went in and she felt the lump, didn't seem too concerned and sent me to get a ultrasound today (Thursday) When I went in, the ultrasound tech looked and said that she thought it was a fibroadenoma. The radiologist came in and said she was 95% sure it wasn't cancer, but wanted to do a biopsy. So I did the core biopsy and my results should be in tomorrow. She did say there was an irregular spot but was still 95% confident that it wasn't cancer. I am torturing myself and can't seem but to think they just told me that to make me feel better. They wouldn't lie right? Has anyone else experienced this? Where they tell you they are very confident it isn't, but did a biopsy anyway?? Thank you for reading and your support. I've been a nervous wreck and have done nothing but cry.
