Saturday marked six years since my initial biopsy-confirmed diagnosis of ILC.

Little did I know that what they told me on that day, diagnostically, was only going to get worse as I went along and there have been no follow-up tests or imaging experiences other than the annual half-mammo, but I remain on the right side of the grass.

When we're new at this and in the throes, it is almost impossible and very risky emotionally to contemplate much more than a short-term future. You made a big difference.
