STARTING TAXOL JUNE 2016

It's amazing how some women fly through Taxol and others have such a hard time. All you can do is mention it to your medical team.
There is a section on this site called "Pain" and you might get some help there too. Best of luck.

5 down 7 to go! I have so much more energy still! But I'm starting to feel some neuropathy. Hopefully, it remains light!

OAJ2013 - that's good that you are find the Taxol easy, so am I, although this week I am starting to get fatigued. I am 7 down with 5 to go. Can't wait to be finished.
-
I am lying in bed writing this. I have good and bad days. Day 4 is my worst day aka crash day. I have bone pain and tingling in my feet. So tired right now but was ok at work. How are you all fighting the fatigue and nueropathy?
4 down and 8 more to go! Still have some hair on my head and my eye lashes and eye brows.and hair on my arms. I thought I would be hairless by now.

I started having fatigue after week 6, especially all around my eyes and my head was feeling like it was shrinking, but I suddenly realized that I had stopped drinking the water and Taxol is very drying on the system. I woke up every morning for the last week with a sore throat until I had my breakfast. So someone asked me yeserday was I drinking the water and suddenly the penny dropped that I wasn't. So immediately I filled up a glass and have been drinking it non stop since and hey presto the fatigue is disappearing and I feel much fresher.

Ladies,
I figure your winding up treatments this mo as I am will complete 8/9/2016. All my chemo was pre-surgery and I'm expecting surgery in Sept. I can't say enough bad things about chemo, I hope for a better way soon. It knocked me down to at least half what I was. AC started and Taxol ain't been much better, worse with time and treatments. I lost my eyebrows and lashes but started re growing leg hair, have neuropathy in toes and pain in legs. There's also a rash brought on by chemo and a never ending thrush. Again I'm almost done and while I haven't seen the coming attractions, I'm still fighting and going forward. Some days that's all I can do. I wish us all continuity of a quality life at the end of this road. I plan to take a vacation at the end of my chemo and prior to surgery-and hope you all as well can take a few days of r&r to just say "I made it through", be good to yourselves this has changed us all.
