Has anyone heard how well fat transfer works for post mastectomy reconstruction it sounds less invasive than TE's

Fat grafts are done as revision surgery option only by my PS. He uses this techniques following either flap or implant reconstructions. The volume pulled and grafted to the breast helps fill dimpling, perfect the shape and to improve projection and overall natural appearance but I was told this has minimal impact on cup size. I think tissue from a flap procedure or implants would still be required for any sort of projection.

There are members here that have reconstruction that is completely fat based, or fat based with a small implant or a flap underneath. Here is a link to the thread(s). To my knowledge the process is not yet FDA approved or covered by all insurance companies. I believe Brava is the most well known method, but there may be some others as well. Some of these links contain posts from members who have only had fat grafting/transfer with no implant or flap, and other posts from members who have use fat to augment these forms of recon.
