Caught Dozer Dozing...

GMA: Looks like he found a sunny spot.
-
He didn't seem to be feeling well and threw up this morning - but daddy just got home and he is up wagging his tail barking at daddy to come play with him.

Magic light,
What a beautiful picture. The dogs body language says it all. Thank you for sharing; I live very close to Orlando, Florida and this has been very hard for so many people.
Thanks again

My pal S'more, resting in the magnolia petals. He loves to snuggle.
-
Very Handsome Mr. S'more!
-
I sure do love seeing all of your furry friends. Someday I'll bring another dog into my life for her or his forever home, but not yet, so please keep posting those adorable pics as they bring me great joy and make me smile..
-
Yes, I agree Magiclight!

He's a happy doggie!

Mominator - Your baby dog is so adorable.
-
What a sweet fur baby

We rested on this lovely bench yesterday. (S'more likes to snuggle on my lap but he doesn't do selfies very well.)
The inscription on the benchreads:
Placed with love for
Patrick R. Scatuorchio
May the sun shine
Look at the lovely jar of flowers, and the hand made heart card. This Patrick was loved by a child/grandchild.
Wishing everyone a lovely day.

such cute dogs. I am prob getting my moms/brothers dog in 2 weeks. Got chemo this coming week, so not a good time. My moms dog died in April. She has Alzheimer's, and insisted on getting another dog. My brother lives with her but works. So he bought a little baby puppy. I don't think I need to go into details on how that was soooooo wrong. I have mentioned via emails to my brother I will take the dog and train it. Poops and pees only in the house cause mom isn't capable of anything really. So brother is so frustrated now, and wants the dog out. So I have my work cut out for me to retrain the dog. . Good news, still a puppy, and extremely smart. And I really love training dogs. Wish me energy to keep it up.and I won't be giving the dog back. Mom can't handle it at all
I will post pics when I get her
-
Susan, please send updates on how the puppy training is going as I may need your role-modeling.. You are a courageous woman for taking that on even considering that you enjoy training dogs. I always said no more puppies for me, but am now considering one and expect that if I go that way, rather than an adult dogs, I'll have days I second guess either choice. One thing I'm sure of is if I get another poodle I want him (definitely will be a him) to be a therapy dog so I must be very careful in puppy selection. I am well into my senior years, but my house is just too empty as I rattle around. I'll be looking for those pics and maybe an occasional rant about the energy it takes to train a puppy, yet alone while on chemo.
-
you got it magiclight, I will rant away when needed. Not at the puppy, but the lack of training my brother has put forth.mhe lives with my mom but expects her to do it. I must have been adopted...lo
-
susan, wishing you an easy week while on chemo. Overload yourself on as much comfort as you can handle and savor the quiet before training begins.
-
thanks...will do . Than I have 21 days to train....I love training dogs
-
So Susan, Are you up for training my puppy when/if I ever get him? Just teasing.
-
Jazz, of course....I can't tell you how much I enjoy it. Loved raising Claire too. Coolest stuff to do. This one is really smart, so I think I am going all the way through agility classes!!!! I won't be jumping over anything...ha...but I think this dog would love it. Let's just hope my brother doesn't change his mind. It would be horrible for that dog to stay there. An alztimers person can't do it. She even hits the dog when she nips and kicks her out of the way when she nips at her feet. I really hope I can save this dog from this situation. Really sa. But my brother and I aren't a united front. I been trying to get the dog away from them for 2 months now. I think he has stepped in enough poop to finally let her go. Fingers crosse

Susan - sounds like an adventure with the pup - that's a lucky little guy to end up with you. The agility training sounds like fun. Maybe keep emphasizing to your brother all the "problems" and "setbacks" you're having training the dog, and don't tell him any of the successes or good stuff. Drone on and on about all the paper towels and rug cleaner you're having to buy, and how much the dog jumps on people, how it barks incessantly, the stuff she's chewed, etc. You don't have to tell him things like she's smart as a whip and is picking up on the training easily!
