I've been monitoring my JP Drain every day since surgery 7/15/16 Drainage went from 30 cc/ day for 4 days then 20 cc/ day for 2 days then 18 cc's for 1 day and yesterday it was 5 cc's. But today when I drained it I had 20 cc's-- is it normal to go back up after going down ?

    sometimes just feeling better leads to moving around more, which can result in a bit more output. Even your raised output is still considered low, and your PS will likely discuss removal soon.

    Hopefloatsyyc - thanks I was worried something was wrong I did drive around the corner today just to see if I could I haven't done that since surgery I just want to get back to normal as quickly as possible

    The last time I had drains I would go for a couple of days with really low numbers and then all of a sudden I would empty and it would fill back up. I thought it was playing head games with me. I think sometimes it gets shifted around or draining it actually encourages more fluid to come out. Just my thoughts
