so I am currently in Italy and I was fitted for a sleeve and gauntlet before I left. Well on the way over the hand part pinched so bad in the hand that I had to take it off. I am getting ready to leave and I now realized that I can wear the sleeve part but the hand part hurt so bad I can't wear it. Is it okay to wear the sleeve without the gauntlet??

Well, bummer, Jaimieh! It's really not a good idea to wear a sleeve without a glove, as it can trap fluid in your hand, where it's hard to get rid of. Here's more, from an expert:

There are other things you can do without the garments that can help: stay really well hydrated, raise your arm and do some gentle exercises with fingers and hand, be wary of lugging baggage around or carrying it with a strap over that shoulder, avoid salty foods and alcohol, and elevate your arm with support if possible (easiest if you have a window seat).

Happy travels! Let us know how it goes. Gentle hugs,

I had that problem, not while flying, just in general. I had to stop using the glove and go back to wrapping. Yeah. Yay me. But anyway, I just flew back and forth from Paris recently. The trip back I did great as far as swelling went. I wrapped. On the way over we wrapped it after going through security, but they didn't give me any problems when my arm was wrapped. When I unwrapped, it was pretty "normal" as far as my arm goes. So maybe wrap rather than a garment?
