New baseline mammon?

Background... 5 yrs ago found lump mammogram and ultrasound then biopsied and diagnosed with fibroadenoma ... yearly mammos all stable
Fast forward March mammo showed more calcifications and lump has more than doubled in size (4.5x3.5x3cm)
Surgical excision was June 6 due to growth and size.. Confirmed fibroadenoma again.
Went to follow up and he said I should resume normal mammograms (next March).
Is that normal or should I have a new baseline sooner? There will obviously be changes.

I think that is normal since you had a known and confirmed entirely benign mass excised

Thanks you for your response...that makes sense I just feel like I will get that dreaded call back since there will be changes from previous mammograms. I will keep that in mind next year.

A good reason to have it done at the same place or make sure a new place has your old films for comparison.
