Xeloda and TNBC

As you know there is a Japan for Xeloda and ıt looks really succesful.

I want to know that how many tnbc paintent in this study ? What are their stages ?

All details of studies are ıt can be use on her - paitent and dfs and os.

    Hi ahmet_23! First, I saw your post and wanted to let you know that we've got another thread going regarding Xeloda and TNBC (https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/72/topics...) so hopefully you can find some answers there.

    My MO gave a print out of the abstract for this study which I cannot find now of course. From what I remember, there were about 900 TNBC patients who were enrolled in the study. Half were given Xeloda and half stayed with the standard course of treatment (neo-adjuvant chemo, surgery, radiation). Patients were NED but not PCR after surgery, meaning they had some residual cancer remaining. They were also stages II and III.

    They were given Xeloda for 6 to 8 cycles (2 weeks on, 1 week off) or had it changed to one week on, one week off or reduced number of cycles if the side effects were too severe.

    I can't cite the statistics as I don't have the papers, but recurrence went down, and survivorship went up in the group that was on Xeloda.

    My doctor said he was waiting for the full article to review all the statistics, ie size of tumors, markers, etc. But he had me start the treatment as he felt it was worthwhile.
