So scared!

Hello all! I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014. I completed treatment in April in 2015. Chemotherapy had put me into menopause but other than that, I haven't had any issues.

In March of this year, I started having what I assumed to be a heavy menstrual cycle. But it lasted for so long(6 weeks) I ended up needing blood transfusions. They said my endometrial lining was abnormally thickened and they found a polyp. Eventually the issue went away but is back now and is pretty painful. I am really nervous and keep thinking that the cancer is back in my uterus or something.

Has anyone else had any experience with this kind of thing?

I had similar heavy bleeding (and clotting) when I was perimenopausal. I think it is a rather common "hormones out of whack" thing when you are going through menopause

When I was nearing menopause, I had very, very heavy bleeding between months-long times of no bleeding.

This article linked here indicates that chemotherapy-induced menopause is temporary in many cases:

You might take a FSH urine test and discuss the result with your Doctor. You can buy those FSH test kits in stores.

Do ask for more examination -- to be thoroughly checked out for your peace of mind. I hope everything checks out okay for you. ((Hugs))

You should be evaluated by a Gyn doc. Hopefully they will do a transvaginal ultrasound and if necessary an endometrial biopsy. Hoping all is benign.
