Drains and swelling

I had my surgery two weeks ago and they took out the drains on Wed. My left side definitely slowed down and was only producing 20cc day but my right was still up to 35 a day. Now that same right side is swollen. It's not huge yet but it is swollen. Should I call the dr this weekend or is this normal? By the way I am insanely itchy. Not sure if that's normal either. Thank

    I suggest calling. Can't hurt at all.

    If it's red or warm call ASAP!

    Definitely call your surgeon. This could be the beginnings of an infection , or a totally normal but annoying seroma.

    The itching can be caused by the skin stretching or may just be those but nerves regenerating. The itching drove me crazy because when I tried to scratch the itch the area was numb. Not satisfying at all!

    must love poodles...first can I just say how adorable your dog is. I've always wanted a fluffy white poodle but my family says no way. Lol.


    I will call the surgeon and let her know. I'm pretty sure she will ignore it. My husband says he thinks she said there would be some swelling at first. The weird thing is that both sides didn't swell. But thanks everyone for your insight. I will definitely call. I don't need this to be an infection
