Had a wonderful weekend at my goddaughters wedding, the wedding and reception was held in Griffith Woods an absolutely stunning location right in the middle of a redwood forest, probably one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever had the privelege of attending, mthey had a mariachi band and right in the middle of the ceremony the brides friends, all members of an award winning a Capella group rose and sang 'All the things you are' it was magnificent.
Back yesterday and went to Cardio advance Party then tonight Grit Strength and CXWorx. Posted this in FB so some of you have seen it, but this is the view from the porch of the house I stayed in..
-
Three-mile fitness walk; 45-minute walk with (fabulous) standard poodle; 60-second plank; a little stretching. Didn't do this yesterday and really felt it, as anastrozole arthralgia kicking in. Now will go to library and shelve books for 3 hours. Extra whole-wheat pancakes w/wild blueberries for me tonight!
))

Beautiful view,Cheryl.
Sshhhhh, Girl53. Don't mention blueberry pancakes. I just finished two days of perfect eating after falling apart last weekend. I can't listen.
Another hot and humid day. The second I went out to walk I heard a big thunderclap. I continued while it started to sprinkle but then the Lightning alarm went off so I turned for home. I only got in twenty minutes.
-
Gorgeous view! What a beautiful place for a wedding Cheryl!
The pancakes sound great!
Did Pilates class today and in the what was I thinking department started painting our master bathroom! Got the first coat done and will finish Saturday as I am going to DDs tomorrow. This is what happens when DH takes his team to basketball camp. I am not to be left unsupervised.
-
I did couch to 5k week 3 on Monday and today. Followed by swimming. Tuesday I did weight machines and recumbent bike at Livestrong followed by swimming.
-
Here is where I am. The shadow of a person taking a picture in the left hand corner is me
-
Tonight did Body Pump. Gorgeous view Ruth, I know you'll enjoy your time at the beach. Hmmm now I'm going to make pancakes for dinner tomorrow night, great suggestion I even have blueberries. Wow Girl a 60 second plank you are a beast.
The picture above is where we stayed, here's where the wedding ceremony took place.

Hello from Israel! Week one of volunteering is over. Going back to Jerusalem for the weekend. I'm staying at the apt my girlfriend rented but she is going away for Shabbat with her daughters. I have put out a few requests for Shabbat meals and waiting to hear back. Sunday morning leave bright and early to meet up place in Tel Aviv. I'm volunteering in southern Israel about 1 1/2 hours south of Tel Aviv.
Been up early every morning and walking at 6:00am before it gets hot. Then walk again at night. For the most part, no snacking! Yeah!!!
Will post pictures when u get home next month.
Hugs, Karen

Karen, love to see a photo. Cheryl, what a lovely location, you too Ruth, I've got the J's! Wonderland, super that you and Ruth are getting together and Cheryl, I'm in So. Cal -NB sometime towards the end of August, road tripping with 17 year old so, up and down the coast. I'll be in touch as soon as this fundraiser is over; this is all I can think about and hitting cues properly on #73. Go Ginger, and Mary, thanks for the lovely twin fawn vision.
Blockfit this morning.

Waving hello to all! Been gone awhile, not really vacationing, but taking care of my father. He was 95 and too weak to fight off pneumonia twice in a row. I wish I had planned in advance about getting him a military funeral (WWII veteran) but my siblings and I still managed to give him a fitting service. I did somehow get 10,000 steps in every day except when I was down with pneumonia myself.
Love all the pics! Have a great time in Israel, Karen and lots of luck with your fundraiser, LB!
Slowly getting into the routine here. Went to salsa two days in a row, making up for lots of missed classes.
-
Cheryl & Ruth - what beautiful views! Karen, it sounds like you're having a fascinating time. Lilac - know your fundraiser will be a great success.
Heidi - I'm so sorry about your dad. Hugs to you.
2.5 mile golf course run on a hot sticky morning. Five deer including the twin fawns but they were standing quietly- too hot to gambolI guess.
-
I am so sorry about your dad, Heidi. Keep having fun on your big trip, Karen. Sounds like you have some fun travel plans too, Lilac. Take pictures if you and Cheryl meet up!!! A total beach day for me; swimming in the ocean and reading on the shore under an umbrella . Out for seafood shortly.
-
Ah, two nice places, Ruth and Cheryl. How beautiful. Karen I hope you are having a good trip.
Heidi, sorry about the loss of your father.
Some people have fitbits to motivate them. My son and I have been Pokemon Going. Walked 65 minutes today. I have never seen so many teens and twenty year olds outside walking around
-
Hi all. Enjoyed reading all your posts and what you have been doing. Great pictures and lots of activity.
mysunshine already reported that we have both been busy with guests and subbing for one another. I'm now trying to get back to some sort of "real" exercise. Yesterday was 8 hours walking around Disney World. Today did Leslie Sansone 4-mile walk class. It has been so hot here so any outside activity needs to be done by 8 a.m. or after 7 p.m. Good thing we have plenty of inside classes to attend. Bowling tomorrow but may try and get out early for a bike ride then pool in the afternoon.
Night sculpted friends.
-
Our last full beach day; lots of reading and swimming in the sea, which was great exercise because it was super windy. Eating tons of great food! Here is a picture of the gang. My two nieces bookend my SIL, me, and my sister.
-
Love all the pictures and hearing about everyone's various adventures!
Heidi I hope your memories of your father give you some comfort. I am sorry about your loss. Take care of yourself.
I visited DD yesterday. We walked and looked at some lake houses. I am dragging DH back on Tuesday to see one! Nice to obsess about something other than BC
-
Going to do laundry today and then hopefully it will cool off enough later today for me to work out
-
Heidi-sorry to hear about your dad.
Karen- that sounds like you have quite an adventure ahead of you.
Great pictures and stories of summertime fun.
Really hot here. 95+ and humid. I did not get any formal exercise yesterday but Icarried lots of heavy things including couches to bulky waste so I am counting that as my strength training for the day.
DH and I are celebrating our 28th anniversary today.
-
HeidiHill so sorry about your dad. ((hugs))
Great pix all and happy anniversary Ginger!
Been walking after work (hot!) and nice long one this morning (cool!).
Claire hope you are crushing the Seattle-to-Portland ride this weekend.
-
Also decided to weed my flower bed when its cooler.
-
Congratulations Ginger. One of my nieces joined me for Yoga on the Beach. In the car and heading back to my sister's right now.
-
Flower bed de-weeded and laundry done!
-
Reporting in a couple of days. Friday 40 minutes of walking. Yesterday I did a 35 minute walk in the afternoon and then 23 minute walk in the evening. Raining this morning so I'm not sure what I might or might not get in today.
Ruth I love how y'all coordinated your swimsuits. Everyone in blue! Beautiful views.
Happy Anniversary, Ginger!
PlanB are you going to buy a lake house? That would be exciting!
-
TH, it rained here this morning for a while but then the sun came out. Maybe it's clearing up for you by now. Got in a walk and glad I did as it's clouding back up. We may get a couple inches which is good, we can use it. The plants like rain water so much better than hose water.
-
HeidiHill, my condolences to you and gentle thoughts. for you and family Happy 28th to you Ginger and DH. Ruth, enjoying the photos a lot. Pink Ribbon Pilates fundraiser yesterday, a true 3 ring of mat classes (yoga, pilates, tai chi, singing for health), talks during that time too such as relationships, holistic healing and body workers, doing reiki, indian headmassage, etc.. We had sun yesterday and the vegetarian lunch buffet was delicious. Bittersweet for me in that may partner is stepping out of this initiative - wanting more time for her business and I'm taking the reins fully for all of it. So, next year is booked for July 15th and a learning curve ahead.
Yoga class this morning
-
Cleaned my fish tank today. That's about all the energy I had for today to do anything
-
Hey all - really really windy here. If I took a nap I think I'd wake up in the land of OZ!!
Been mostly lurking lately as not much done on the exercise front. Yesterday and today, however, I did get in a 60+ minute mink each day. Yesterday In the wonderful cool of morning, today in the mid day heat and humidity😓
Looking forward to San Antonio!
-
Hi, Sweet! Windy here too! I saw some kayakers blown down the lake and then had trouble returning. One got out and I'm not sure how she returned the kayak. So, 50 minutes around the lake around noon. Then a 37 minute walk with DH and a 23 minute walk with dog. Oh and I caught five Pokemon LOL.
Yes it cleared up here, Badger. We had a heavy rain but I'm not sure if it was long enough, but at least gave me a break from watering my pots and dehydrated plants.
Lilac - sorry you lost your partner in your Pink Pilates. It seems like such a great event. I know you can do it!
Off to make some dinner and finish up laundry. Weekends are too short!
-
Just did a 16 minute workout. Was shooting for 20 but couldn't stand it any longer than I did
-
Heida: I'm so sorry about your father. Sending you a hug from North Carolina.
Cheryl: The wedding pictures are gorgeous!
LilacBlue: Sorry about your partner leaving. You're so devoted to your PRP and I hope it gets bigger and better. You are perfect for the job!
Ginger: Happy Anniversary!
Hi Everybody! Sounds like it's hot and humid everywhere. Ugh! I walked/ran in the morning this past Thursday and Friday. Today I waited until 7:30 to go out. Tomorrow I meet Ruth for lunch - Can't wait!
