Well, the other shoe has dropped, I guess you would say. Mid June I had some trouble with dizziness and balance. They gave me meds for vertigo, which did nothing, and then I got an MRI of my head. Tumors in my brain. Bummer.

So, hospice care it is for me now.

I'll continue to check in here as often as I can; hopefully with less disjointed messages as the brain allows.

Love to you all.

Kebab, I am so sorry to hear this. I really hate this disease. It makes me angry sometimes. Did you opt for hospice or are you out of options? Thinking of you

kebab - sending supporting thoughts and prayers to help you and your family along this path. does hospice feel like the right thing, given the facts at hand?

Oh No, Kebab. I've been off boards for too long...and this news makes me want to just crawl under covers & not come out. I am so sad, sorry, heartbroken. Damn cancer. I know you've given this decision to go on hospice your most serious consideration...my hope & prayer is that you are comfortable and yes...I will hope for a miracle. My question is also whether there are no more options. Is this her2 raising its ugly head again? So many questions. Sending love to you.

Kebab, I am so sorry to hear of your progression. Is there more you can do, like the various forms of radiation? Please contact agness, as she is an expert in all things brain mets.

Healing thoughts at this difficult time. Blessings to you and your family

    Kebab,

Very sorry to hear of the spread to your brain. Last year was a big recurrence for me. From bone mets only to liver & pituitary gland. I did not do well on taxol or xeloda. It's been 7 years for me. My bones are doing well on Xgeva and a great surgeon at UCDAVIS took out the pituitary tumor. Since I have to monitor with PET scans & MRI's every 3 to 6 months; I can't go onto hospice. They will not cover those charges on hospice. I would have to agree to absolutely no treatment; not quite there yet.

    Hugs to you.

    I'm sorry Kebab. :(

I've just been diagnosed with Leptomeningeal mets so I kind of know how you feel, although I'm going to give WBR a go... Don't know if it will help. Very scary.

I'm going to contact hospice this week too, just to introduce myself, & find out what they have to offer.

    Thinking of you ((hugs))

Hello kebab, I too am so sorry to hear of this terrible news. I was also wondering if you had run out of options or just Hospice just seem like the right thing for you now. Whichever it is I hope that those tumors just stop in their tracks and you still get much time with your family, in comfort and peace. We will all be thinking of you. Please check in when you can.
