Has anyone had their nipple reconstruction redone because projection was completely lost?

I am not happy with the lack of physical nipples that I have after having the "origami" type technique. I don't just want the 3D tattoo. I want actual nipples!

Please share your experiences. I am looking for hope.

    I've thought about doing this for the same reasons you describe. But I have had so many surgeries over the last 6 years, 4 not bc related, that I doubt I'll voluntarily go through another one. Also, my husband could care less and actually likes the results, as compared to what I looked like post lumpectomy. Still, I hear you!

    I wanted to tell you that I share your experience with the projection issue but I just last month found the greatest thing for me. pink-perfect.com. A prosthesis. I just got them the other day and they look so real! The projection stays too! It is held on with medical adhesive. I ordered the strong adhesive and selected the bold style. I had seen other websites who offered them but none looked real. These are created by a breast cancer survivor too. They stay on through the shower, pool, anything. I just don't want to keep getting the nipple reconstruction redone and started researching and found these. Good luck to you! I just celebrate 11 years cancer free
