Very nice Blessings, I love hydrangeas too. Unfortunately mine aren't doing anything this year. They are huge healthy bushes but not a single bud started an any of the 7 that I have. I'll get pictures of them tomorrow.
My peach tree has so many peaches on it this year that the main branch broke. Boogers!! I'll get a picture of that also

I'm enjoying all the photos.!!
Blessings.. I love your porch!!
Katy.. Those Cherries look scrumptious :-)
Lookfoward.. Your Goat's Beard makes a real
splash !!
My new love /obsession are succulents / cacti. Here's a pic of my new stand and "babies" :-)

Beautiful Lucy!

Where I live, pansies start in late April...
-
Lucy love the succulents, I have no shade on my deck and should think about cacti
-
Looking forward- cacti love the sun and need little water. I have quite a few in my yard and they are amazing and bloom April through June. I still have one blooming right now! Months of beauty!
-
Last of the cacti blooms this season.
-
Beautiful!
Jazzygirl - I meant to ask you: you have such beautiful pots in your yard... are they on a drip system, or do you water them by hand?
And do you have hot temps where you live?
-
Blessings- the main gardens are on a drip, but the pots have to be hand watered.

Stopped at Lowe's last night and found lots of great things on sale, petunia's for 50 cents, some hanging baskets for five bucks. Did som refurbishing of the gardens this morning and everything is looking much better. Monsoons have started and it's cooler now and a good time to replant a few things.
I found this potted dragon's breathe and fell in love so it came home with me last night! Love the flower and the pot it is in!
Wishing everyone a lovely and safe July 4th weekend!

We now have 2 skunks eating bird seed and 1 fox catching mice under our bedroom window!!! We're now sleeping with our bedroom window closed after getting skunked.

I'm loving all the flowers! I can almost smell the scented mock orange!
I was out wandering around our property yesterday and noticed some of my trees are starting to bloom. I'm still waiting on my hydrangeas to do something! Anything?!? I can't figure out why they didn't bloom this year! Oh well, I'll just enjoy the flowers and trees that are blooming twice as much to make up for it.

Beautiful pics!
Lots of questions but once again I am in COMPUTER PURGATORY!!! Yes, my brand new computer/ergonomic keyboard/mouse is spending the week at the Computer Geeks Spa.
Shouldn't be this hard. Can't write any more, using DH's laptop and I can't type on it!
But still loving the pics.....

Happy July 4th gardening friends!

Found this surprise sunflower on the side of the house where the birdfeeder is in the winter. I love how a stray seed and nature together always finds a way.
-
I'm loving all the photos.. :-)
I have been going through pictures on the internet for ideas for my beloved succulents ( my babies :-)) , and have fallen in love with this succulent "living picture", which I've attached .. Hubby is a good handyman and promises to make it for me.. Now I just have to head out to find a suitable teapot and cup 😃
-
Beautiful sunflower, they always make you smile.
Lucy I love that idea, show the finished project.
This year I decided to plant scarlet runner beams in my barrels

A new yellow zone 3 rose, forget the name.
-
pink double poppy - these volunteer in the vegetable garden.
-
-
while many of you other folks in other parts of the country have had flowers in bloom for months, around here, July is when everything comes into fruition.
-
Wild day lily - I love these.
-
Bee balm. Lookforward, I too planted lots of scarlet runner beans, I like them on my vegetable garden fence, (as well as morning glory)
- and the darn bunny that has been living in the garden has eaten most of them :-(
The hummingbirds will have to content themselves with bee balm, comfrey, jewelweed and their other favorites this year, because last week a BEAR climbed the stairs to an upper deck and smashed the hummingbird feeder on to the patio below! This was 5 am, the dogs went crazy, by the time my husband got up and out, he was gone, but there were sugary footprints going down the stairs!
