Pregnancy test before surgery

Any other lesbians really offended by this? My wife was sitting right next to me when they told me. We both looked at each other like they were crazy.

    I believe that pre-surgical pregnancy testing is fairly standard for all women of reproductive age. I had recently entered menopause, at the time of my surgery, and was still given a pregnancy test just as a precaution. After all, whether a woman is lesbian or straight, pregnancy is still possible.

    Hell, I was 50 and told them I hadn't had sex in 15 years and they still did one on me

    I went in to have my tubes tied after my second child...what a surprise to deliver a baby about 34 weeks later. Turns out I was 6 weeks along when I had my tubes tied so my then OB doc started doing pregnancy tests on EVERYONE!

    My DD2 is getting married this December and I cannot imagine my life without her.
