Lump in the axillary tail
Has anyone ever had a malignant or benign lump in the axillary tail? (Has anyone ever heard of the axillary tail? Lol!)I found one, 2 years after BMX. I had an ultrasound and biopsy yesterday, and hope to have results today or tomorrow. The radiologist told me there is breast tissue in this area that isn't completely removed after mastectomy. She said the lump is most likely fat necrosis, but was concerned because of the location. I'm not finding much info on the internet about it. Anyone have any experience with this?

Hi JMB, have you tried posting this question in the "concerned about possible recurrence" thread? People in this thread probably don't have any experience with what you are asking.

JMB, Hope you are well. I haven't had this specific issue but similar that ive had a lot of scar tissue and fat necrosis scares. Thinking of you and let us know results!

Good news! It is fat necrosis. I can't believe it just popped up after 2 years, and in such a weird spot.
jenjenl, have you had many biopsies? I swear I hope I don't have to go through that again. I'm so relieved.

Yay! Its happened twice to me that were investigated and a few times were the dr ws confident it was scar tissue. Later tests confirmed. So happy for you!! xo
