went back to the doctor today for my post op check up after my breast conserving surgery. Found outi have to go back into surgery again on the 15th of June because they did not take enough. Pardon my language but this sucks. I knew that there might be a chance for having to be reopened if enough tissue was not taken. But somehow i was hoping that i would be one of the lucky ones. I just wished i could go back to being normal.

Going thru this too. For my second surgery they used anesthesia that didnt put me under as much and I had a really bad reaction to it. Nausea and vomiting all night and thru this morning. If you did well with the anesthesia the first time ask if you can have the same stuff again. Really hard to throw up when you've just had a chunk of your boob cut out! They said I didn't need to be as deep this time because I wasn't having lymph nodes taken out.

Count me in. My right breast BMX turned out "close" margin. My BS wants to take a piece of skin, since that is all that's left. We are waiting for MO to decide on chemo before we cut that skin out to avoid 2 more surgeries, one for skin and one for the chemo port. We are waiting for Oncotype results as well. Meanwhile, I am recovering slowly, but there are signs of normalcy in my life. I figured out how to drive with my seat belt not pressing against my chest. That pain and sensitivity still there big time. I am pinching the seat belt by my left thigh with a heavy duty clip. That keeps the belt on the side of my rather than across. Slowly we get back to some form of normal, very slowly...but we get there all the while as you said it sucks getting there.

put a little pillow between your chest and the seat belt. That seems to be what most ladies do, and so will I when I have my surgery
