Beautiful ladies!!

Looks like you have fun! Can I join you ladies in a few months? Right now I live in the SF Bay Area. But we are moving to Carmel Valley in mid-late July. All planned pre-diagnosis. I have gone to a local group here breast cancer connections once for a support group, but it has been hard to get out b/c I have young kids and some of the meetings are during the evenings or weekends.
I’m 42, just had a left mx for DCIS last week that was pretty much confirmed in two quadrants and possibly a third. I am also looking for new docs in SD. So if you have recs, please PM me and if you have people to stay away from please PM me too. Need MO and PS and also internist, OB/GYN. Prefer to stay close to Carmel Valley, Del Mar, etc. . . I opted for no recon but may change my mind. I just couldn’t deal with another decision and neither implant nor flap appealed.
Also anywhere to get supplies like mastectomy bras that you like would be great to know. I will get fitted for a prosthetic once I heal and will get some here too.
THANKS! Glad I found this board.

We would love to have you join us when you get here. Personally I live in the South part of San Diego, but most of the gals are in North County. Our lunch bunch has experienced the wide range of treatments.

We had to cancel our April lunch bunch. See you in May.

Hi, everyone-
Our members are the backbone of our community, and we are constantly striving to highlight your stories and share them with a broader audience (with your permission, of course!). One of the ways we are trying to do this is through video storytelling. We have an opportunity to highlight some of your stories, if you'd be willing to share them with us.
We're looking for members in the Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York City areas who would be interested in sitting down for a video interview in the next couple of weeks. If you're in or near one of those cities, and would be willing to share your story for this video storytelling initiative, please send us a pm, and we can discuss the details.
As always, thank you for being a part of this community, we wouldn't be here without any of you.

Hi ladies
I'm from Ramona, and am just finishing up from a really wild year. It hasn't even been a full year since I was diagnosed and I have gone through chemo and 4 surgeries, including a prophylactic double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction a few weeks ago that I'm currently recovering from right now. If you have room for another lady for brunch in a couple of months, let me know. Do ladies just show up when they can or RSVP to a member so a table of X can be reserved? I have three active kids so going to evening or weekday support groups is frankly out of the question. Sunday brunch get-togethers seems perfect.
Love seeing all the smiling faces in the pictures, but more so of the virtual hugs being sent here.
-
Absolutely, we welcome you!! Just keep your eye on this topic...we usually meet the last sunday of the month, but the next two months fall on crazy days..We generally just like to have an idea of how many people will show up so we can reserve a table. Let us know when you are ready. ..it sounds like it has been a wild year for you..sending hugs...SoCal
