I haven't been on in a very long time. It's so nice to see everyone is doing pretty good and moving on to their next phase or are done. I'm so very happy for everyone!!

I was half way through my AC and got severe pancreatitis and ended up in the hospital for 1 week. My schedule was thrown off by 6 weeks. As of today, I have 2 more taxol infusions left. Just wondering for those of you who have finished, how long does it take to get some energy back? I get my infusions on Mondays and I am so tired and weak by Friday evening through Sunday. I'm not complaining because I'm doing really well with very little side effects. I actually look forward to chemo so I get that burst of enery for 4 days. However the steroids suck because I've gained weight and I'm looking puffy. I am just looking forward to feeling better, not being so weak and growing my hair back. It won't be long and I'll be there!!

    Good luck everyone!!

Kristie, I'm almost four weeks out from my last Taxol infusion. I was feeling pretty good at around two and a half weeks. The first week after was just normal side effects from the Taxol, and then each day from then on I felt better and stronger. My hair is growing, it's not long lol, but around 1cm and patchy and thin - but it's growing!

Hang in there - you are almost there!

    Trish

    xoxo

Hello ladies! I'm almost 3 months out from my last chemo and I've lost 2 fingernails and 1 toenail in the past 2 weeks. I have a feeling I may lose a third fingernail in the next couple of days. I also still have a little neuropathy in my feet. Does anyone find that chemo is the gift that keeps giving? Lol! Seriously, I'm hoping all of you are recouping from chemo and getting on with living!

I have still some neuropathy too. My left leg and the side of my face especially. I went for 3 mri's to make sure it wasn't anything else. It's not. And so far 2 of my toenails are very thick and peeling almost off. It's gross. I'm halfway through my radiation and feeling tired but hanging in there.

    Hi Truffles and Kelardo!

I'm thankful that my neuropathy is only in my fingertips and I only experience it briefly every now and then at this point. It seems to be resolving; I'm so glad! Never had problems with my toe nails, but my fingernails keep peeling and breaking. They were fine until several weeks after final chemo. Funny how some side effects don't happen until chemo is over...Hoping they return to normal sometime in the near future. I'm 3 and a half months past post final chemo...feels really good to be getting my hair and energy level back. Hope you all are doing well too!

Good luck with the last of your radiation Kelardo!

thank you! Yes can't wait to be done! I'm 2.5 months from my last chemo. It is so weird to have side effects after the fact but I it's it just goes to show that stuff keeps on working for a time after. My toenails are still peeling and I can't wait for them not to. One day at a time though. Well all get there.
