Anxiety! !!!!####

can anyone tell me how long you have to wait for pet scan results? I had lumpectomy 3 weeks ago and bs ordered scan because 2/3 nodes were positive. I had scan 1 week ago. I called office she said they would get back to me today. I wouldn't be so nervous except I have been having shortness of breath issues for a while. l saw pcp and he listened to my chest and said my lungs sounded flne . He prescribed anti anxiety meds for me. Does anyone think he's not telling me the truth so i wont be more anxious? I have no cough or pain. I still haven't been staged yet or seen mo yet. I have had anxiety issues all my life but this feels different. Im afraid im much worse off than i know. Thank you and God bless you all.

    I would think that they would have the results of your pet scan today. Waiting and worrying is never easy. The imaging center in my town is wonderful. Whenever I have scans, I can go and ask for the report and see what is going on myself. All it takes is photo I.D. For mammogram, I give them a day before I ask. For ultrasound, two days. For a pet scan...it took three days before I got the report. Every place is different. Please let us know what you find out! We all care...

    I can't imagine he'd say anxiety just to keep you calm if he thought there was something more going on. SOB can be serious so if he said your lungs sound fine to him then believe it.

    Thanks for the imput.my bs said i had a slow growing 2.5 centimeter tumor Er +pr- I was having symptoms of fatigue frozen shoulder forgetting stuff and that feeling something is off. Finally i found the lump in the shower 2 months ago. This is the longest process ever! I will let you know what Dr tells me. Also my health history, smoker (quit 9 months ago) i had a normal lung ct scan. 1 year ago and normal chest x-ray 8 months ago after a bad pneumonia. I hope i haven't gone downhill this fast
