2 different types of cancer

I just found out on Fri that I have ILC along with another mass that is ILC. We met with the oncologist today and she said I was considered high risk. My tumors are small and I haven't had the mastectomy yet so we don't know if any lymph nodes are involved. Anyone know what "high risk" means?

That is a vague phrase. Ask your doctor to clarify.

I think she meant reoccurrence. They only found the second cancer in the MRI. I assume she was saying because it wasn't as obvious and also a higher risk of reoccurrence. Am I right? Does the two make me a higher risk of reoccurrence?

My BS described ILC to me like this: It spreads like Indians in the forest. (Sorry to be politically incorrect but that's what he said. ) I think of it like fingers on a hand.

ILC is less like a defined tumor. I also had more areas of cancer. But the treatments are the same as IDC.
