Strange question

I am 1 week post surgery (lumpectomy of fibroadenoma) ... I have been doing well, very little discomfort / really no pain. Tonight, the incision started to become itchy which I assumed normal, but as I lightly scratched I hear a very hollow sound which I did not expect. The hollow sound is heard for alarger area than I expected. Is this normal?

    It is a collection of fluid that "fills in the divot" for a while. It is called a a seroma and is normal. Sometimes there can be too much fluid accumulation so check with your doctor if it really balloons or starts bothering uou

    Thank you for the quick response. I will keep an eye on it to watch that it is doesn't balloon. I have myfollow up next week with the surgeon.
