Confused-MO offered the choice to skip Carbo in TCHP treatment.

I have 2 weeks until I start neoadjuvant chemo. The onc told me that carbo is barely effective so if I don't feel well, he can reduce it or remove it from the regimen. Now I'm told I can also refuse it. Anyone have any experience or knowledge about this? I want to beat the bc, but also want to minimize damage and side effects. I'm 54 and was born with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've taken meds all my life, just stopped methotrexate in anticipation of chemo so preserving liver function is key.

I'm struggling with the decision and of course leaning towards refusing it if it doesn't really help the bc.

Any thoughts on this are appreciated!

MRSH - I was told that if I ended up being stage 2 or > that I would get THP (no C), that is the standard protocol for my MO. I ended up staying stage 1 so just TH for me. Hope that helps:)
