Swollen inguinal node

Morning! While receiving MLD from my OT yesterday, she mentioned that it felt like one of the lymph nodes at the top of my leg/groin felt like it was either really close to the surface or possibly swollen, because it was so easy to feel. Anyone ever experience this? Wondering what the cause could be...because frankly, when I heard "swollen lymph node," I kinda panicked

    hi, well your girl definitely knows what a lymph node is and if she thinks its swollen I would get doc to check it out. It's not always a bad sign in fact when our lymph glands in our neck sometimes swell its nature trying to deal with certain illness.its our filter system, don't worry but do inquire about it.

    Meghan, I'm really sorry about the panic--we all understand that, for sure. But in this case it's likely this is nothing more than an indication that your lymph nodes are doing their job: fighting off an infection somewhere in your body. We rarely notice them at work.
