I found something that helped my hair, skin and fingernails!
I finished my last chemo treatment on March 1 and my last radiation treatment on May 3. My hair started to grow back, but in April I started to lose my eyelashes and eyebrows. Also my fingernails had been damaged by the chemo too. My daughter told me about this product that is all natural and it's called Hair Skin Nails by It Works. I have been taking this product since May 1 and my hair is over an inch long and my eyelashes have grown so much that I can finally where mascara again!!!! Also, all my life I have had skin issues with my hands. I am allergic to household cleaners, grass and dirt. During chemo and radiation my skin has seemed to be more sensitive. But since taking the Hair Skin Nails pills, my hands are not cracked or dry anymore. I truly think this product has helped me tremendously and I wanted to share it with all of you. This forum introduced me to products that helped me get through radiation and chemo, now it's my turn to help others. If you would like to know more, let me know, I can get you in contact with my distributor. I'm sure she would love tohelp you!

That stuff is mostly biotin. My MO says it’s perfectly safe. I just save money and take 5mg. of biotin alone. Didn’t have chemo, but it’s mitigating the action of letrozole (estrogen-deprivation) on my hair and skin. Unfortunately, seems not to be strengthening my chronically-weak nails. (I play guitar and detest fingerpicks, so I get gels).

In a desperate attempt to save my hair from the SEs of AIs, I've seen a couple of dermatologists and my anti-aging doctor. I've taken biotin and liquid silica for a couple of years starting with chemo. My nails were paper thin and crumbling. In the past few weeks I've noticed that my nails are hard, strong and long. I don't use polish. I only buff them. They look great and they're not breaking. The improvement is likely due to my start of an iron supplement or a change in my biotin supplement. As recommended by my anti-aging doctor, I'm now taking
Neocell Laboratories Biotin Bursts Chewable Acai Berry, High Potency, 30 Soft Chews
It's high dose biotin and I was told the chewable form is absorbed better. I hope it helps my hair too but my nails are doing great.

Even though it does have Biotin in it, I believe the other ingredients are beneficial to the healing process.
It has Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin B6, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid (as D-calcium Pantothenic), Zinc, Selenium, Manganese, Alpha-Lipoic acid, MSM (methysulfonylmethane), Gotu kola extract, grape seed extract, fo ti root, amla fruit extract, goji fruit extract, japanease seaweed blend, Haematococcus ply ails whole algae extract, olive fruit extract and melon pulp concentrate, calcium carbonate, microcrystalline cellulose, stearin acid, croscarmellose sodium, peppermint oil, magnesium, and silica.
I think the price is reasonable. It has helped my nails return to the way they were before chemo. I only have one nail that is still healing with ridges.

I used to take those Hair, Skin & Nails gummies, but they added too much sugar to my diet. I’ve pretty much stopped taking gummies of any kind. (I don’t even take a multi--I try to eat my vites, and take only those I can’t get from food, such as K2, certain bone-strengthening minerals, and D3, in pill rather than gummy form).

Yeah make sure ladies currently taking chemo do NOT take anything will antioxidants... They are great for before and after but we do NOT want to protect ANY cells during chemo.
I got the okay from my MO to start taking biotin during chemo so I will do that soon and when I'm done I'd love to connect with you about those supplements!
