Mri "light up"

I am a nervous wreck. Had an MRI on Monday and received a phone call today that said I had to come back in for an u/s because an area on my right breast light up. My mother passed at 36 from breast cancer and I am a month shy of my 32 birthday. I just gave birth to my only child less than 3 months ago! Anyone else that had a similar issue and have it turn out to be nothing

Call backs are quite common, and I'd bet theyare being especially careful with you because of your mom. Fingers and toes crossed that it is nothing. Congratulation on your little one!

I had a area along my lower right jaw on my PET Scan. Had a biopsy of the area immediately with path. results the next day - notbing there - normal.

MRIs are so unspecific-they light up everything. They probably just want to confirm with an ultrasound that whatever it is appears benign
