Waiting a few weeks for surgery

Hi. On May 24, 2016 I joined the breast cancer club. Not one I necessarily wanted to join but God saw things differently. I'm 43 and have 4 young kids plus I own a daycare. Breast cancer was not on my to do list. I am lucky though. I caught it early. I have a small tumor in my left breast. I've been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma. I also have lobular carcinoma in situ. I'm waiting on the results back from the genetic testing. I also had a MRI last week. They found an additional tumor about 2 inches away from the first one. It's very small. They have me at stage 1 with grade 2. I got a call to schedule the lumpectomy for either June 16 or the 30th. I have a daycare and school will be out by the 30th. That would help all my families so they don't need to find other care. But the 16th is nice because it gets this ball rolling and done with faster. What would you do? Would you wait until the end of the month or would you say the sooner the better? Thank you for your input.

I had grade 3 stage III. Found out 6/2/15 but with schedules couldn't have sx until 8/6. It worked out fine. You're grade 2 which is slower and at stage I so imo no rush. Many people the time I was going through it were waiting 2 months for summer to be over.

I was DX May 7th IDC stage 1 grade 2.  I was given a choice for April 29th or May 6th for my surgery.  I chose the later, so I could finish the work schedule for the month.

If your surgeon is okay with either date, you can feel comfortable choosing either date. I asked for a date 3 weeks later than the surgeon proposed and given my medical particulars, he said that was fine. It allowed me to get close enough to the end of the term that I could finish out the curriculum I needed to cover.
