No period and hot flashes after double mastectomy

This is weird and I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I was mid cycle when i got my double mastectomy nearly 6 weeks ago. Since then I have not had my period and I am getting hot flashes :-/. Kind of weird. I'm 45 but my cycle has been pretty normal. I'm wondering if the effects double mastectomy could be causing this or if my body is in shock or something? My hair is really extra dry too. I'm conditioning the heck out of it.

Me too! Mid cycle at surgery on 3-31 and totally out of sync since. Hot flashes have since subsided but cycle is still way off.

Same here.....had BMX on May 26. I was expecting my period on May 30 and so far nothing. I've always been pretty regular too.

Well if it's happening to two other people here it must be something to do with surgery for sure. But I must say I have never heard of this type of thing before. Very weird.
