Has anyone had the Goldilocks procedure? if so, I'd be interested to know how it feels after surgery and how was the recovery. I had it done on May 11 after bilateral mastectomy. It was done by my BS. I know that was only three weeks ago but something just doesn't feel right

What doesn't feel right? I had the Goldilocks recon after my BMX in Feb 2016. Unfortunately, I had one complication after another, so it really looks bad. I was thinking I'd have some little boobies, but what I have looks like deflated old lady boobs.

The point of Goldilocks recon really is to create a ridge at the bra line so that you can wear camis and bras and not have them ride up. Well, that and you get some boobs, assuming that you were very large breasted before. I thought I was, but apparently not. I wouldn't even fill out an A cup.

Since I had so many complications with the BMX I have decided to put off making any decisions about further reconstruction. I need to have a full hyst this fall, so I need to concentrate on getting my body geared up for that.

Would I do it all again? Maybe. I wasn't ready to pull the trigger on traditional recon when I had my BMX and I'm glad I didn't do that. I suffered severe tissue necrosis (tissue death) which would have destroyed every bit of the recon and probably would have landed me in the hospital. Now I have the opportunity to wait and consider what I want to do--stay flat? get implants? DIEP flap? Hmmm...

Best of luck to you. Tell me what doesn't feel right and I'll to help you figure it out.
