5 year scan results in ---- NED!!!
Today I went in for my 5 year post diagnosis scans and I am still NED!! I can still remember the sheer terror I felt when the first doc diagnosed me stage 4 from the get go and told me there was nothing that she could do. Basically the best I could hope for was maintaining the status quo. Thank God I went for another opinion.
These five years have seen me through a divorce, for which I am so much better off (!) and five more years of watching my babies grow from elementary school age to snotty teenagers, and I could not be more grateful!
I know when I was a newbie here I always took so much comfort in these posts from the bc veterans, so hopefully this helps give someone else some faith.
