Biopsies done, path report, now on to excisional biopsies
I had 2 biopsies done on left breast, no discomfort or bruising..yeah me. Mammo showed distortion and a lump. Path report came back with benign findings but distortion of atypical ductal hyperplasia, the lump at mammo was 5mm grew to 7mm at time of biopsy, so was small and non palallable. Path report said Fibroepithelial lesion but that a phyllodes tumor cannot be excluded. So now am scheduling surgery to remove both areas. Surgeon said nothing to worry about, but that there is a chance 15-20% that these both are hiding something. Will probably have to make 2 incisions since they are separated some distance. She wants them done as soon as possible in case there is cancer and can be found early. Not worried too much yet but husband is very concerned, I told him to look at it this way there is a 80-85% chance nothing is there. Waiting on results once this is done will be nerve racking for sure. Just glad I have a job, husband and fur babies so I can keep myself occupied.

Hi Alakai:
Keeping busy with your pets is an excellent plan. I had an excisional biopsy, which went very well and healed very quickly.
Sending best wishes for benign findings! 🍀

had my wired excisional biopsy done on Monday 5-23. When putting in wires said there was another area needed to be removed. No new mammo, just had looked at mammo again and found the third area. Close to the distortion, did not say exactly what it was. So three wires were place, one incision about 2" long and three areas removed. One lump, one radial scar, and one ?. waiting on results, surgeon said should be Friday. I did not really bruise this time, pain is really not much more than the needle biopsies. My boob is dif mishapen now. told hubby I have one big {swollen} and one little now, so I will walk bent to one side so they will be even. Had a good laugh.

I did see the wire incisions report that the 3rd area was another distortion close to first but separate. Friday came and went with no results, so have to wait until at least Tuesday. I just think "no news is good news" so will enjoy the Holiday Weekend.
