mamita,
Thank you for letting us know. This is always so shocking.May she rest in peace.

Hi Mamita,
Thank you for keeping us connected to Diana - she posted here so often, that I thought I knew her too.
Mamita, I'm so sorry for the loss of your two close friends, Diana and Kerry. Loss cuts so close.
Last week, I wrote to Diana knowing that she was facing another surgery - kidney stents?
It's odd to come to care so much for someone I've never met, but we do connect here.
And we stay connected through our memories of one another.
warm healing regards for all bco members, Stephanie

I loved Diana's posts and admired her insight and wisdom. What difficult news to hear that she is no longer with us.
Mamita49, I am so sorry for the loss of your friends. Losing those we love is one of the most challenging things about this disease.
My heart goes out to all who loved Diana.

Oh no, so sad to hear this. I have been reading her post for a long time. She always tried to give inspiration to others. My sadness is just beyond words. May you rest in peace now. Thank you Carol for letting us know.

I am truly saddened to read this. She was one of the first people here that I connected with and we would often share PMs. We both started on Taxol and on Gemzar at the same times. She had a true zest for life and tried never to let this disease break her spirit. She was a source of guidence, support, and light to us all.

Another friend from our Stage III group and FB gone too soon. Diana was a real do-er, never let her progression to metastatic bc keep her down. I will miss her.

So very sad to lose another one of our wonderful sisters.

My heart had told me this when she didn't respond to my PM a few weeks ago. Mamita49, can't express how grateful I am that you told us - I didn't want for her to just "disappear" and I know she didn't want that either. She was the light of my life when I discovered these boards in 2007 and has carried me through many a tough time. All I can do now is pay it forward. For Dear Diana.
in sorrow, Julie

Rest in peace Diana. Fly free and unfettered. I will miss your spirit and zest for life. Mamita thank you for telling us.

I am so sad to hear this. I am always surprised by this news. I didn't know the end was so close for her. She seemed to be making it through at the moment. She will be missed. She was so inspiring with her active lifestyle and strong spirit. I hate this disease.
-
This is just heartbreaking. Mamita, thanks for letting us know, and I'm very sorry for the loss of two of your friends.
-
Oh no, no, no. Diana was so vital and optimistic, a real role model. I thought she'd be here forever, maybe because she approached life that way--so positively.
May her friends and family take comfort in the knowledge that Diana's example helped many on this forum live with more relish and hope---me, for one.

Oh no. I am so sad to hear this. Diana was such a wonderful contributor here, giving support and kindness to so many. I remember the first time I read her tag line, "Not today cancer. Nope." It has always stuck in my mind. It is such a great statement and a good reflection of Diana's determination. I will miss her light and her positive attitude. Thank you for letting us know, Mamita. I wish her family and loved ones peace and comfort. She will be missed.

Help me, but I think Diana was a fiend on her bicycle - riding miles and miles just because she could. I am so sorry to hear of her loss. Another beautiful soul gone too soon.

Oh no! She recently came to mind and I was thinking I hadn't seen any posts from her in quite awhile, but I don't visit all of the threads regularly. Diana was truely an inspiration to me with her positive energy and her "not today cancer, nope" motto that always made me smile.
You will be greatlymissed Diana.

Oh no.

Diana was just the BEST!!!!!! She was one of the first to "welcome" me to the stage IV board and was always a wonderful source of guidance and strength and encouragement. I loved her posts about bicycling and making each day count. I am going to miss her words of wisdom and her friendship. Thank you to Mamita for letting us know.
Not today cancer...NOPE!

My heart goes out to Diana's family and all of her friends. May she rest in peace.

I don't know if I ever interacted with her personally but I so noticed and admired Diana's spirit and toughness.
I had somehow missed the dramarama with pneumonia/kidney stents so I was at first wondering WTF happened as I remembered her kicking a@@ and taking names on Gemzar (which I understand is one of the rougher chemos). I guess she had to stop it because of the pneumonia. Makes more sense now although it doesn't make it any easier

This hurts so badly. Can't find the words. Fly, you sweet, wonderful, beautiful woman. SUE

I am so sad reading this. Diana lived nearby, and although we never got around to getting together, we were friends on FB and always planned to. In fact, I had just dropped her a card expressing concern that she hadn't been posting for awhile, wondering if she needed help. This is absolutely devastating news. My heartfelt condolences to her family. Her beautiful spirit will be so missed here. Deanna

I am so sad to hear this. Diana was truly an inspiration to me and to so many. May she rest in peace.
-
Oh no, I am so disheartened by this news. My condolences to all who loved DIana

I was stunned to see her cousin post her passing on FB. Diana...such an inspiration. Full of compassion, knowledge and wisdom. Such a way with words....I was drawn to her post from the very beginning when I first joined these boards. We connected here and then on FB and exchanged many PM......such a warrior she has been with her battle the past several years. I will truly miss her. Diana RIP...you will be greatly missed.

Diana was awesome. She was always upbeat, and willing to see the silver lining in any cloud. I don't read much on the Stage IV board, but her posts were very inspiring. Hers was a life well-lived. She made the most of her time on earth. I pray that her loved ones find comfort in their memories of her and her spirit.
