good news..bad news or no news?

Today i had my ultrasound amd mammo. My doc that ordered the test is not affiliated with the hospital i went to for testing. He told me i cld have it done near my home instead of driving to the next city where his office is located. I had the mammo and the tech said she was showing them to the radiologist. She came back and then led me over for the ultrasound. I had the ultrasound and she didnt say if she did or didnt see anything. She told me to call my doc office monday. She said the mammo results wld be mailed to me and u/s report to my doc. I said so the hosp wont call me for any reason? No. Then i said so pretty much no news is good news and if i dont hear from anyone then everything is fine? She then repeated again for me to go ahead and call my doc monday. Today being friday i asked her if he wld have it monday and she said the radiologist will do the report today and my doc will have it monday. My question is this.....if there was something obvious on the u/s wldnt she have notified the radiologist right then and have them take a look? Shld i feel assured and relieved that i was let go and told to just call my doc? Has anyone had a mammo and u/s that turned out to be BC and they werent notified of the concern at the time of the test? Did anyone have to wait to hear from their ordering doc that theres a concern?

That makes me feel relieved. I do think that if the US tech saw something concerning she wld consult with radiologist immediately. My doc told me that if i went to my local hosp they wld be able to do the tests sooner but that hosp is rather slow with getting the results back to him so i was a lil worried that she was telling me my doc wld have it monday and to give him a call. I feel pretty confident that everything is fine since nothing out of the ordinary happened during the test.

I can't know anything about your results, obviously, but one piece of advice I found helpful in the beginning was "pay zero attention to the tech and don't try to read them." Having said that, when I had my mammo/ultrasound the radiologist came in, looked for himself and said the words "I think this is cancer." So, for whatever that's worth.
