I have a stitch in my cleavage area that started as a lump them I could see black.  The PS push it back away from the skin on Friday.  Sunday morning it was back and poking through.  He said it was connected to the expander and had NEVER seen this happen (lucky me)  Anyone have thoughts?  or had this happen?  I have a call in to the office.  Just waiting to hear back.

My first thought is that perhaps 'disovleable' sutures were used. It is not unusual for so called 'disolveable sutures' that are commonly used in surgery to not totally 'disolve' and work to the surface.

mshel did you hear back? First I wouldn't worry too much: your ps saw it and wasn't worried enough to do anything other than shove it back in; however, it must be incredibly annoying. By the end of this process we are so used to being poked, prodded and having things sticking in and out of us that I think we're all ready to perform surgery on ourselves. Anyway, let us know what you hear, but don't worry because your doctor wasn't worried. :)

    Hey mshel,

I think I had 2-3 stitches that came through my skin. My PS pulled them out & said its because I have thin skin.

It did not hurt or bleed. So try not to worry, I think it just happen sometimes.

I had a stitch poking through too. He saw it, never did anything about it til last week. I was worried it was gonna hurt but it was right after a fill and it practically fell out at that point. I think the expansion pushed it through. I wouldn't worry.

Hi... just an update on my stitch issue.  it ended up poking through my skin and I had to go into the PS office.  He pulled it up, clipped the knot and pulled 3 inches of wire out.  I'm on antibiotics for 2 weeks.  I have more bumps coming up...he didn't seem to concerned but said he never saw this happen.
