Rib? Pain post-Mastectomy

So I've had what I think may be rib pain on my right side... About even with where the drain tubes exited my body after my mastectomy. I'm doing radiation now and today asked the RO if the pain could be radiation related. (He said, no). The RO thinks my pain is pluerisy, but I've had that before and that is not the pain I'm feeling. This feels much more superficial. I feel pretty certain it is probably muscle or scar tissue related... Still I was super relieved that the RO was willing to order a chest X-ray. My question is, does a clear chest X-ray eliminate the possibility of bone mets causing this pain

    hi there - a recent PET report mentioned I had a surgical clip in the position you describe. Who knew.... It mentioned 2 other surgical clip sites and all of them are sore and a little lumpy. Possibility?

    interesting! I had a PET scan today so I should find out for sure later this week. I'm not terribly worried... But still anxious to rule out any cancer cause for the pain.
