Subbed in the library (super fun), Zumba, Yoga, watched Dancing With the Stars, and am now trying to convince myself to do a little more trim painting.

PlanB, keep exercising, but listen to your body. You might have to cut back a little (and/or lighten up on the intensity of the workouts) during rads, or you might not. I had a different situation because I did chemo first, so I actually could feel my energy returning during rads.

Congratulations to everyone who has 'passed' their recent colonoscopies & good luck Nats. It is a nice thing to have behind you (pun intended) .

I did a trail run yesterday with DD and DH.

I want to walk/run 21K in stages in seven days or less in memory of nancyh.

I am so sorry about nancyh. She sounds like she was a wonderful and much beloved woman.

Checking in but am still catching up on all the posts.

Nats, hope your procedure went well today.

Crazy busy at work lately but have kept exercising. Continuing to go to bootcamp 3x a week and have also joined a local gym to supplement on non-bootcamp days. I think that I may officially be turning into a true gym rat!! LOL.

Will be reading posts for the next week but not posting as I am having a minor outpatient surgery on Friday thanks to Tamoxifen and was told to minimize exercise for one week. Will continue to walk daily though.

    Hugs to all!

Edited to add that the kitchen renovation continues to move along despite some minor snags of its own (( Ruth)) .

Odie, Sunshine and I will probably all be crazy before we get our house projects done! My bathroom is a nice soft green called 'Mirror Lake Green' and the white I paired it with is called 'Feather'. IF I ever get done, I will post a picture if you want (I actually should show you a picture of DS's bathroom, he is tiling the whole thing himself & it looks really, really nice. I actually stopped doing bathroom stuff and cleaned the whole rest of the house, which looked horrible!!

Good luck on your surgery, Odie.

I love Barre too, PlanB; although half way through tonight the thought crossed my mind that I might possibly be getting too old for it because it is HARD.......nah....not yet! Winking

Heidi that is a lovely way to remember Nancy, such a sad loss. Odie sending you big (((HUGS))) for Friday. Wonderland the sad thing about my gardenias is that in a couple of weeks I will stand with a trash bin on a Sunday and just fill it, my two bushes yield hundreds of them, they all come in at the same time I try and pick every day, I encourage people walking by who admire it to pick them but I always end up binning hundreds. Nats hope the procedure went well.

Was feeling blah tonight but a friend called and we talked each other into going to the gym, did Body Pump and U Jam.

Thanks for the good wishes on the colonoscopy yesterday. All was well. As usual I had some polyps, so between that and my dad's history of colon cancer, I'm on the 3 year plan. Yuk. Could they make the taste of that prep stuff any fouler? It was like drinking cough medicine.

    Odie - good luck Friday!

Two days of little to no real exercise. Back at the gym feeding the Fitbits. Long crazy hours at work again.

Yes post a before and after when you get done, Ruth. I need to do all three of my bathrooms, but I think I'd be good at destruction, not the remodeling part!

Beautiful gardenias, Cheryl. I can smell them in my imagination. I'm glad you are feeling good enough to go to the gym after your fall.

Odie good luck with your surgery. Annie I thought you said you "walked your sister" for a minute. I need to slow down!

30 minute walk this evening for me.

Hi all, yes, I've been MIA for a couple weeks and I get to blame it all on mysunshine for talking me into co-leading 2 Leslie Sansone classes, one on Tuesday evening and one on Sunday evening. Plus I've had kitty duty for a few days while she's been off frolicking with grandkids, then I had visitors for 10 days (2 sisters we have been friends with for over 60 years!), and my son came for a few days and I took him home (Orlando) today. So it's been a very busy few weeks but I've managed to squeeze in a good bit of exercise. Have a break now until next month when another bunch of family members descend. Masters Tennis 8am tomorrow and maybe pooltime in the afternoon if it does not rain.

    Night sculpted friends.

Congratulations patoo and mysunshine on leading exercise classes! Patoo, a couple years ago would you have ever believed you'd be an exercise instructor? That is awesome!

The sun finally made an appearance today after a couple days of rain...it was gorgeous out!!

Day started out good....had my last dept meeting of the year and I got offered the 3 day position I had wanted...I'll keep one of my schools and the other 3 days I'm a "guest school psychologist"...there are 3 of us....we cover schools for special education testing and services when SW or Psychs are out on leave. It should be interesting. The two people who did it this year both opted to go back to school assignments. Then the day ended lousy as DD#2 rear ended a car this afternoon. Her car is fine (big old Suburban) but the car she hit has a good amount of damage!!! No one was hurt. DH and I are so worried about the car insurance and rates going up. I made DD car the insurance company and report the accident, but she had it on speaker phone so I could hear and help if needed.

Tomorrow evening is DD#2 high school graduation!! After 25 years, I'm ending my journey as a parent of children in K-12. My oldest daughter started kdg in 1991. I'm ready to be done, but only because I know I'm done. I'm so very proud of DD (except her driving). Tomorrow she is getting a mani and then she is doing her hair and a friends hair. I will be sure to post pictures of graduation on fb....yesterday I posted one of her senior pictures. She is free during the day till the last graduation practice at 5:00 pm. I have arranged an aid from Mom's home health care agency to bring Mom to and from graduation and then help Mom get ready for bed.

Speaking of fb, message me if you want to friend me on fb...my settings are on friends of friends can ask to friend me....I use my real name of fb.....it would be fun to follow each other on fb as well....

Glad you got the position you wanted, Karen. Congratulations!

Certainly glad no one was hurt in the car accident, that is the most important thing there.

Ah, high school graduation, an exciting time. So happy your mom can come.

I am on Facebook & will PM you my info....although you probably know more about me from here than you'd learn from there!

Well, I was going to work out later but with hubby nursing a broken wrist and the grass needing to be cut before the rain comes, he had me haul out the lawnmower and helped me with getting the lawnmower started. So my work out for today is done!!!!!!

It has been gorgeous here this whole week. Perfect spring weather. I went to class this morning at 9:00 and stayed for 10:00 yoga too. No exercise for me tomorrow. I am subbing & then am involved in a surprise 60th birthday party for a good friend. I really think that she is in the dark about the party, and I know for sure that she doesn't know that her daughters are flying out from the West Coast to be there. Should be fun!

I thought you all might enjoy this picture. One of my classmates posted it on Facebook with the observation, "There are shortcuts to happiness and Zumba is one of them." (You can cross out Zumba and fill in your own favorite exercise and it will still be true!)

Lots of walking today...went on a field trip with middle school kiddos....broke 20K steps!! Field trips are exhausting!!

DD#2 graduated high school today. She gave an amazing speech...she wouldn't let us hear it when she practiced so graduation was the first time my DH and I heard it. She was awesome...so poised and articulate... and not your typical graduation speech saying how wonderful the school was!!! She makes me so proud!!! My last to graduate high school....soon to be empty nest! My mom came to graduation and she seemed to be happy. I didn't get to schmooze with people as much as i would have liked at the reception as I didn't want to leave Mom alone. Miriam took a few nice picture with grandma. After graduation the kids came over to our house and made a fire in the fire pit and has smores....the graduating class is small...only 8 kids (4 boys and 4 girls) but then again there are only 39 kids in the school. I posted a few pictures on fb...just Miriam, and pictures of her with me, her dad and the 3 of us.....I won't post pictures of her friends...she can do that!

Its almost midnight and I'm wired....since I don't work tomorrow, I can sleep in till 6:30!!!
