    Thanks!

So I'm thinking we should postpone our Arrowhead get together until August since it sounds like there's not a whole lot of people able to make it. Then we can go back to being super casual about how many people, what days, etc. Renting something requires a head count and reserving pretty much now to get something. I'm off for a few weeks in August so we can play w/ dates when it gets closer.

Hi Everyone!!! i just wanted to pop in and say Hi and throw my hair pic in the mix...lol

I don't come here very often anymore and it is def not because I don't love u ladies.... I just can't read one thread.... i end up reading other threads that make me have to go take an ativan because I have convinced myself of some recurrence. I am doing great, I have really zero problems with Tamoxifin, knock on wood.... hot flashes are my only thing, and I am kinda used to them. I do keep up with all of you that are on FB. I am so glad to see all of us going on and doing great!

Here is my curly hair, never had short or curly hair in my life so this is def an adjustment for me. But i get compliments on it a lot, even from people who don't know my situation.... so that's a plus I guess :). All of you look great with short hair!!! I always liked short hair on other people!!!

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLISON!!! Hope you have a great day!!

So cute, Leigh. I get the same thing. When I get a compliment, I have to hold my tongue. I got a compliment today and I knew it looked awful because it was humid but I bit my tongue. lol

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Ladies. This is a much better birthday so far than last year. As you might recall, I had to go to the ER the day after my birthday last year. So not hard to top that one.

Katy, we have a baby bird! So fun seeing the parents feeding the little one. All you see is this little beak. The other egg hasn't hatched yet.

we skyped about s month ago. And we are FB friends. So I have seen her flag waving. I think she doesn't check in here too often. She is like most of us, struggling at times, ok at times. Trying to get her house ready to sell. Wants to get out there and live done life s but differently. I will tell her you asked after her- maybe she's reading along. ??

My co-worker's best-friend's sister was just diagnosed w BC at 27. Her mom died of BC. Send some thoughts down Australia's way, please. I told her to tell this young lady about our site. I hope she visits and finds friends and comfort here. You ladies saved me from certain.....idk...loss...devastation...loneliness....my own head....everything.

Catching up everyone .... so very sorry Eileen :( Love the hair Leigh - mine is getting pretty straight now 15 months post. And a belated happy birthday Allison and hope you are enjoying your bird nest!

I am trying to make more time for exercise and it is kinda working, but still not at former levels. Away at a conference last week, so missed Zumba, though I did walk, but ate waaay too much. My biggest achievement: I dragged my dusty rebounder down to the living room - looks like hell as it does NOT match anything :) - but I am actually using it several times a day - bouncing gently in front of tv or even when I walk by and see it. Supposed to be good for moving lymph among other things. Why did I not do this months ago????

    Hi everyone

I think of you often but haven't posted lately. I have my last herceptin on Wed. Hope to get rid of my port soon after. Working full time since October and am exhausted at times. Hoping that gets better soon. Down 30 lbs in last few months. I am exercising and eating healthy. Have a few more to go but try not to think about that. No uti s since January! Yea. My hair is in, curly but keeping it short. Much grayer than I thought it would be but at least i have hair.

Hello, all. I think of you all often, but I have been back to work, and it has been crazy. I've been trying to get a lot of things done because I am scheduled for reconstruction surgery on Wednesday morning. The original plan was to do DIEP, but I have been successful in getting my weight down and have turned into a bit of a gym rat, so there is no way I have enough tummy material to make foobs. This is a good problem for me, but it does mean that my reconstruction surgery will be expanders/implants. It is a lot less involved, as far as the surgery goes, so I'm hoping for a complication free recovery.

My friend, diagnosed in February,Mia's had a lumpectomy and had her second of four rounds of chemo on Thursday (TCx4). She is doing great, with very few side effects. No nausea, minimal fatigue.

I'm planning to be able to get to the Montana weekend at the end of July. I wouldn't have been able to do the Cali weekend given my surgery date, but maybe I will be able to swing when it's rescheduled.

    Warm, healing thoughts to all.

Hi, all. I'm staying at my sister's place for a few days post surgery. Things seem to have gone well. I did have some post anaesthesia nausea, but pain management is very good so far just using T3. I'm also taking Toradol and a one week course of clindamycin. PS says I can shower today, so I'll be off to do that soon, and I can take the dressings off and have a good look at what's there. I have drains on both sides, but the left side drain is much more productive than the right. I've been sleeping a ton since getting out of the hospital, and am thinking healing thoughts. One major plus of all my time in the gym this winter is strong abs. I'm not having any problems getting up and down out of bed, chairs, etc without using my upper body.

Hi girls! Looks like everyone is doing well, so happy to hear. You all look fabulous in your short hair. I've had 3 trims to keep it managed but am growing it. I just had highlights put in. Been trying to get back to regular life which includes more gym time and healthier eating. Working part time and took a part time summer camp job for July. Attending a few breast cancer support group activities, another wonderful group of women. Some of them belong to a dragon boat race team so I may try it. We volunteered this week to host dinner at the Hope Lodge, which is a facility by the American Cancer Society for patients and family to stay while getting treatments in the Philadelphia area should they live too far. I can't give a lot of $$ but I'll volunteer😁 Some of the women just did the Komen walk in Philly but I didn't, I prefer not to go into the city more of a burb girl. I'm planning on doing a walk in the fall and next years Relay for Life. My uncle passed last week from stage 4 throat cancer😢 he was only 65 and fought till the end, a super sweet fun guy, so not fair. Cancer sucks!! And another sad story, sorry, a young mom just turned 40 from the breast cancer support group passed Wednesday, diagnosed 2 years ago. Super sad, super frustrating, super unfair!!!!

I'm reminded to not sweat the small stuff and enjoy each moment, if only I could get my husband to join me, he is such a worrier and works way too much. We are going away for the weekend camping not your tent kind, but still woodsy with a lake. Wishing you all a fun sunny holiday weekend!!
