False Negative on MRI?

Has anyone had a false negative on MRI?

My ultrasound showed very clearly at least two lesions taller-than-wide with "very irregular" borders and posterior shadowing. The report states they are 9mm and 12mm. U/S was bi-rads 0.

MRI doesn't even mention these, stating there are multiple cysts up to 6mm, bi-rads 2.

I sort of feel like those two cysts should be biopsied.

The doc I was seeing, who was really an absolute jerk, did go over the two cysts with u/s but didn't say anything about what was there. I didn't ask because he seemed volatile to me and he was running an hour and a half late.

How do I get a second opinion? Does one call a radiologist? A new doctor?

Thanks!

Hi there. I would definitely get a second opinion. You would have to see another breast surgeon. MRIs are usually more accurate than U/S. Good luck and keep us posted...
