Nancy dear,
A photo of my DH working during my stay at the hospital
) I am quite sure you are familiar with this scene.
It's just a few minutes past 5am and I woke up to write to you, hoping you might be awake right now. My dearest sister, I am struggling to breathe most of the time, guess the PE has come back.. And with each aching breath, I think of you and smile.. You have been enduring so much more than myself and I still feel the support and inspiration from you. Noone and nothing else can or have done this, but you.. Right from the start.
I am wishing for your comfort. I am thankful for Jake's love to you.. I am grateful to have met and known you..
I wish the best from the deepest part of my heart for you.
I don't know about your beliefs but I believe each star belongs to one of us. When I look up at night I feel relieved, knowing I have yet another home waiting for me. The energy of the universe has to mean something. That's my belief. Heaven and hell are here.. I expect so much better afterwards! For all of us
)) hope my star-home is close to yours.. Cos it's not been fair so far, me being on the other side of the world not being able to have a cup of coffee with you!
)
Jake, I am happy to say I have a "Jake" too and it means so much. The love I see in his eyes make me forget my pain and I immediately start remembering the bestest of moments we have been sharing together. It sucks to deal with this crap, and it sucks even more to share it with your love. Well, so be it. Our love to our Dh s have far exceeded the crap we have been going through, right Nancy?
Hugs love & hopes for a neighboring star-home to yours
))

Nancy, so glad you are home and your onc advocated a change that's making you feel better. Awesome!! I hope the new normal will be a much better and sustainable one. Thinking of you.
Ebru, I hope they find a way to ease your breathing. May all your wishes come true.

thinking of you Nancy

Thinking of you every day Nancy and hoping you are feeling more comfortable. Ebru, You also are such a bright light on this site, I wish all the same for you. Peace, comfort and joy. Your post was very beautiful.
-
Thinking of you Nancy. I check your blog every day for updates... I hope the "new normal" is a much more comfortable one. I am off to run in the pouring down rain... it seems that real spring is NEVER going to come to Colorado... one "winter storm" after another....it's probably the last thing I want to do but today you are inspiring me as I think of all the times you went out to run, even after a chemo treatment. I also picked up that book you talked about on another thread - When Breath Becomes Air, and I can hardly put it down, I hope you are warm and peaceful with your amazing husband and those two cutest bulldogs ever.
And Ebru - wishing the same for you... warmth, peace and comfortable breathing.
XO
Andrea

Thinking of you today too as everyday Nancy. Hope your heart is feeling peaceful. Andi, that was a very good book. It was uplifting for me. The rainy weather can't see to end in California either.....
-
Thinking of you every day too, Nancy!
Sending lots of love…
Rose.

I fell asleep, just as our M's were beating the A's (sorry CA sisters...but we relish wins!). Maybe you got a chance to listen to Cano's grand salamie (with mustard & rye bread...wink, wink) last week!
Thinking of you always & praying you're feeling more comfortable....and the same for you, dear Ebru. I love reading our sisters' words of love...the words, "You mean the world to us" are quite authentic :-).
Much love & hope that rest comes easy, pain is relieved, and love surrounds you just as big and enveloping as Jake's arms!!!!
Good to see you, Andi!!
-
Nancy,
Thinking of you and Jake and your families. Sending love and caring thoughts

Nancy and Jake, so glad you are finding comfort being back in the hospital where your nurses give you round the clock care. Keeping you and all who love you in my thoughts! Yes, it would take an entire hospital to hold all those who love you!! Gentle hugs. Glenn
-
Hi Nancy,
Thinking of you, as usual. I am leaving tomorrow to go to Santa Barbara to run the Wine Country 1/2 marathon... my first race of any kind since being diagnosed and going through chemo. I would never be doing if it weren't for your inspiration (along with Springlake).... you will be on my mind every step (slow, slow step) of the way. I'm thinking of wearing my pink running skirt in honor of you and everyone else on BCO. I know you are well cared for in the hospital... hope you are finding comfort and some peace.
XO
Andi

This elder flower heart is for both Jake and Nancy - you are truly wise elders, deeply knowing in love and devotion.
May our caring and loving kindness continue to bolster you both during these often challenging times.
From my heart to yours, a song without end. May it offer you comfort and healing my friend. Tho I cannot go with you, your journey goes on. I can laugh with you, cry with you, sing till you've won your freedom from suff'ring, release from all fear. May you find all the love that you needed was here. From My Heart to Yours by Maria Culberson, Threshold Choir
warmest healing wishes, Stephanie

Jake, thanks for giving us an update. I agree that she is full of glitter, making us all sparkle in some sort of way. We are all very grateful to have been touched by her love. I hope you are still comfortable and are getting the princess treatment that you deserve. I hope you feel the love from all of us around the world. Praying for peace and comfort.
-
never underestimate the power of glitter! Rest well sweet Nancy.
-
I think of you every single day Glitter Girl! Sending loving thoughts to you.......
-
Jake, thinking of you tonight as you sleep next to Nancy's side. The tremendous love and care you have shown in your blog posts has helped all of us who love Nancy from afar. And yes, she has helped many of us with her posts over the years. The glitter card said it all! Knowing she has you, and Wendy, by her side, makes it easier for us. Sending gentle hugs to all of you. Thankful that Nancy is at peace in the hospital and in awe at the wonderful relationship you both have with her oncologist. Blessings, Glenna aka Gator Ga

I just read the update Jake wrote last night on Nancy in my early this morning (http://bynancysside.blogspot.com/). I'm heartbroken.
-
The beauty of Nancy's spirit, Jake's tender devotion, and their shared love is and always will be
-
Jake, thank you for continuing to take the time to update everyone on sweet Nancy, and for reassuring her of how much we love her and think of her when she can't read our words and updates. So glad you both have the comfort of such a special doctor at this difficult time. You all continue to inspire, now more than ever.
XOXO from Colorado,
Andrea

Sending healing love and light to surround Nancy and Jake.
Nancy, may you be gently guided toward the light now.
Jake, may you feel the embrace of love, even as you grieve.
And may all at bco practice self-loving-kindness as our friend Nancy loses her familiar form.
well wishing for all, Stephanie

Thinking and praying for peace and comfort. My thoughts are with you Jake at such a difficult time. May you find peace in knowing how much Nancy is loved and has impacted so many lives.
