Wednesday Weigh In

You are getting closer and closer to your goal, patoo!
Down 300 grams, first down report in ages.
-
Down 1 to 133.5. Now off to the senior center for a luscious sounding lunch. No calories if you're volunteering - right?
-
Up 1.10 lbs (163.2). Guess potluck party with new homeowner neighbors did me in!
-
I was up a pound; not surprising since I ate really late (and really heavy)!
-
Haha, wrenn.
Down 600 grams from last week. I just wanted to be able to say to my onc that I was the same as last time I saw him without lying too much. He always asks about my weight, but for some reason he didn't today. And then he said I didn't need to see him every quarter anymore. Just every six months. Woo hoo! He also said my blood counts were all normal now, as opposed to too low last time. I asked him about my kidneys as I thought the report was abnormal the last time. He checked and said my kidney function is better than his. I must have misread Dr. Google. TM results will be next week. I think my mimic of the fasting mimicking diet might have worked. I will have to do it every time I go see him.

Wow Heidi, congratulations on the excellent appointment!!
-
My mother had a stroke in March and I went to the hospital 13 days in a row. Now I'm alternating days with my youngest sister going to the skilled nursing/rehab facility where my mother, at 93, is working hard to regain her balance and strength. Long story short, my weight went back up over the dreaded 170 thanks to getting off WW.
This week I got "healthy eating and nightly cocktail avoiding religion" again. This morning I was down to 167. I'm hoping to get back to WW meeting on Monday.
Patoo and I have the same weight goal and she is beating me! Good for her!
-
I am so sorry about your mom, Carole. It is hard to eat right when things are so stressful. Hang in there!
-
Thanks, Ruthbru.
-
Carole, If there are healthy foods around hospitals and nursing homes, I haven't seen them. It's really hard when you get hungry and there's nothing but junk.
-
Sorry to hear about your mom, Carole. Hope she can get back to her pre-stroke self, if not better.
Thanks, Ruth. It's nice to get a longer reprieve.

I was too busy to weigh or report in Wednesday, but I ended up down 1.1 lbs by Saturday.
Heidi, congrats on the good appointment and graduating to six months. My breast surgeon always watched my weight closely so it was motivating to stay the same for sure or she got after me. I always make sure to try to be a good weight for my oncologist appointment too.
Carole stress will mess up a diet plan. Best wishes for your mother's recovery and good for you getting back on track.
-
168.5 this morning. That's up a couple of lbs but I was expecting to see 170 when I stepped on the scale this morning. I've been off WW program for a couple of days but am back on track so far today. Of course, it's only 10:52 am!
-
Up .5 to 134. Some stress eating going on. DH passed out in the bathroom and fell into the tub landing on his head. We think the shower curtains helped break the fall. He needed 6 stitches in his head and they have him wearing a heart monitor for a month. He has a history of heart problems and I think they're just being cautious.
-
Ouch Wren, hope DH is okay. I was up a pound today & I have no idea why because I didn't even have time to eat much at all yesterday
-
Down 2.2 (161.2). Snacking at night down, movement during the day up.
Wren, hope DH healing okay.
-
Patoo, good for you! Once again, you're inspiring me.
-
Wren, hope DH is feeling better and they find out what's going on.
Twohobbies, maybe our oncs are related.
Patoo, you make it look so easy.
Up again. My memory fails me though as to exactly how much. Probably more than 500 grams.
-
Heidi, I'm good at covering my tracks is all.
-
164.5 this morning. Went to WW meeting on Monday and celebrated 5 plus lbs lost. Actually I'm down a little more than 7 lbs since I went back to WW in March. Not a lot but quite a bit was going on during the last half of March and April to make it difficult to focus on weight loss.
-
Every downward dip is a good thing! Hope things are okay, Carole. I didn't weigh on Wednesday because we are in the middle of a bathroom remodel & I'm not sure where my scale is!
-
Sure, Ruthbru. We believe you.
-
Thanks, Ruthbru. Things have settled down. My mother is recovering from a stroke she had in March and is doing well in rehab.
-
Glad she is doing better. The floor just went in today. I should be able to put stuff back in place tomorrow (including the scale). I should have a vanity & toilet in place on Monday. (I am burning lots of calories running up and down, up and down, the stairs to the basement bathroom!).
-
That is great news, Carole!
Ruth, glad the work is almost over. I will try that trick of running to the basement bathroom.
I was down but I'm up again.
-
I've been MIA for a few weeks but see I'm not alone on this thread. Will try and remember to come on tomorrow with an update.
-
Down 2 (159.2) and trying hold on to under 160 as I've been under and over for a few weeks now. Need to cut out (or at least down) on those carbs.
-
up .4 (yes, that's a decimal point)
-
Good for you, Patoo! Under 160. I dream of that day but don't do much about reaching it. We are now in northern MN for the summer. I didn't bring my scale with me but we'll be joining a gym that has one of those "serious" dr.'s scales.
