It's my 6th Birthday!
Oh, before I forget! It's my new birthday!! 6 years ago today, I found out that my cancer went into remission (NED) because my liver tumor had healed from Herceptin. I also had my first radiation treatment. I have lived more in these 6 years than I have in the previous 38. I have:
Found my faith and joined a church to call home
Bought a house
Watched my daughter grow up and be baptized
See my niece be married
See my nephew graduate high school
Flown in a plane
Went to NYC
Became a blonde
Went Zip Lining
Met friends who became family
Shook hands with the POTUS
Went back to college
I know I'm forgetting something, but I'd say lifetime chemo is worth it! Thank you to all my doctors, nurses, friends, and family! Thank you BC.org for having this site. I hope I live long enough to see a cure!
