Boswellia For Inflamation Question

Hello All,

I have read all of the posts about boswellia with great interest.  I have mets to the pelvic area/lower spine and thus have the requisite pain in those areas.  I burned up my stomach with ibuprofen which was the only thing that was working for me and giving me any relief.

I bought a bottle of the Boswellia and began taking it on Sunday.  The instructions are to take one tablet three times a day (330mg).  I took two the first day.  One mid-day and one at bedtime.  It seemed to take about an hour to kick in but the pain did subside.  Since then, I've noticed that it still takes about an hour for it to work but now four days later, I still have low grade pain.  Not enough to be debilitating but enough to remind me that it's there.  I did start taking it with tumeric two days ago but I didn't notice much of a change.

My question for those of you taking this, does it take a while for the Boswellia to get into your system so it works all the time?  Does it take a day, a week, a month?  Does the regular dose work for 4-hours or more?  How often do you take it on a daily basis?

Do I need to up the dose to four tablets or more a day?  I've had no side effects from taking it three times a day.

I am so hoping this will be a winner for me and welcome any and all suggestions you might have!

Thanks so much.  Blessings.

Sue

    I took Boswellia for 3 months and it didn't help me. Stopped for 6 months and tried again for 3 months. Still no help. Hope it works for you.

    Hi there,

    I have had such pain for years with bone mets to spine. I just started taking boswellia 2 weeks ago and I am very happy with the pain relief. Of course I still have to take my pain  pills however, I can get off my back during the day more.

    So very happy I tried them out.

    GBU you all!   You might want to try Bromelin, from the pineapple, helps with pain, we used that, also, Noni juice from Dr. Becker, because his is the only one I know that is pure....also you might want to try Astragalus, which also helps with pain, and side effects from chemo. Mom was very much into natural alternative therapies.  Sadly I found the one herb that could have help her a little too late for her, (Turmeric) but you all still have a chance to try out, all based on personal experience.  IT can't hurt to try them out....

    Depends what type you take as well. there are more bio-available forms available. Like for example 5-loxin

    Here is some more info about it.

    Dear Ladies;

    I would recommend Boswellia for all BC because it does reduce swelling and it also is a known ancient curative for cancer. I have used it on both breasts with no local recurrence! however I also use frankincense oil, the stuff is smelly and strong woody order, but the oil heals scars from surgery too. Taking boswellia for arthritis pain related to taking armidex has helped me. I am cutting back because i have a rash on the chest wall right now. I would not take more than 1x per day but it may lso help fight your cancer-what two way winner. there are studies with Dr. Lin U of O.

    blessings

    Marcia
