I have a lump in left breast & on Tuesday had mammogram, ultra sound & biopsy of breast & lymph nodes the doc says he thinks it's breast cancer & he'll be very surprised if it's not I have to wait 7 days (4 to go) if he's that sure does this mean the news will be bad on Tuesday as in mastectomy chemo .... He said it's a day clinic & wont impact on yr life but surely chemotherapy etc will impact on my life ? I am overwhelmed, worried, tearful, terrified ... The list is endless I saw the lump on the ultrasound & it was a round circle about 1" in diameter can anyone shed any light I am 51 in May. Thanks

Hi Lynn. Im sorry you have to be here but welcome. I know you will find this forum both comforting and knowledgable. Try to remember most breast lumps are benign and they have to prove you have bc before you do. That being said I understand your concern. You need all the facts before you can think about any treatments. There are usually many options, not always mastectomy and chemo. Try not to get ahead of yourself. Our wondering minds are not our friend. Good luck and please keep us posted. Feel free to private message me if you want to talk more details....
