Did anyone have recent experience with her, especially large-breasted ladies? I am a full D, perhaps a DD, but petite 4'11", would like to know if anybody got reconstructed to their previous large size or close to it. I am considering TE with implants. Thank you very much

Hi reckless. I had direct to implant reconstruction with her last year. I was a DD but could only be a full C with that kind of reconstruction. You should be able to get a DD with TEs. I just wanted to avoid them and a second surgery. IMO Dr. Rohde is an excellent surgeon. Although not warm and fuzzy if that is what you are looking for. My breast surgeon is Dr. Feldman at Columbia and I love him. Good luck and keep us posted....

Thank you, dtad. My BS @Columbia is Dr Feldman too. Who is your onc? Actually, Dr Rohde says, my breasts will be smaller than DD, because they are droopy. So putting in large implants would have these ride too high on my chest. She can't estimate how big they would be - said we'll expand until your desired size. Is it realistic? She also said that the pockets will be cut below the natural breast line and she does not know by how much, as it depends on the BS. Was it your case? I read that the pockets should not go below the natural breast line.

Hi reckless. I just read your post. Dr. Rohde did a direct to implant reconstruction on me. I wanted to avoid the TEs and a second surgery. I was a droopy DD too before surgery. She told me the biggest I could be with this type of reconstruction was a full C. To me it was worth it but its obviously a personal choice. Its been almost a year and Im gradually getting used to my smaller breasts. Ive also lost 22 pounds since my diagnosis and I think that has helped with my over all body image. Im not sure about the breast pocket issue but I would trust what Dr. Rohde suggests. Although not warm and fuzzy I think she is a brilliant surgeon. Just realized you already had your surgery but maybe this post will help someone else!
